Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than 50 countries around the world and employs about 30,000 people of over 130 nationalities.Project: Various Offshore ProjectsJob Title: Vessel Equipment EngineerLocation: WorldwideJob DescriptionMISSIONCarrie out maintenance and control of all the mechanical production equipmentEnsure the efficiency of the production equipmentPrepare the appropriate maintenance plans and associated spare partsManage the deck mechanic team in compliance with the Company safety and quality procedures Ensure adequate training to personnelTASKSManage the production equipment ensuring its continuous operation through ordinary/extraordinary maintenance and repairsSupervise and coordinates the Mechanic Foremen Offshore and the Mechanics Offshore to ensure that the work is carried out in compliance with safety and quality requirementsAssign work tasks to own team to execute maintenance activitiesDefine maintenance work priorities and prepares a maintenance frequency scheduleEnsure that the required quantity of spare parts and materials are kept in stock in the vessel stores though the establishment of minimum and maximum stock levels, in order to ensure work continuity and vessel self- sufficiency for any planned maintenance activities and for breakdowns that can be reasonably expectedOrder spare parts for scheduled maintenance in due timeEnsure that the planning, execution, and material control for all maintenance activities is carried out with the appropriate Corporate software applications wherever availableBe responsible for the equipment preparation and set-up in advance and during execution of project operations, in liaison with the Chief Engineer and the Offshore Construction ManagerBe responsible for the adequate preservation of vessel equipment before long stand-by periods, as directed by the Chief EngineerEnsure that all project equipment used is certified, in suitable condition and properly storedProvide maintenance for project equipment when requiredAt project completion, be responsible for the completion of equipment card and for arranging correct packing and preservation of mobile equipment to be demobilised from the vessel, in order to keep Company property in good conditions for further useBe responsible for the training of Junior Vessel Equipment EngineersReport near-miss events and incidentsEnsure that the Permit-to-Work system is understood and operatedWithin his/her remit, arrange for delivery of shift Tool box Talks to the maintenance crew and the preparation of JSA (Job SAfety Analysis) if requiredAs applicable, perform duties within the vessel emergency team as indicated in the Emergency preparedness manualReport to the Chief Engineer What are we looking for?Experience of at least 5 years as 2nd Engineer / Electrical EngineerResponsibility for the maintenance of Barge’s equipment and upkeep:MachineryTowing Gear and related itemsMooring Equipment (Winches, Bollards, Mooring Lines)Ballast SystemMinor repairs and preservation (chipping, painting, welding, etc.)Management & Request Spare Parts and other Barge consumablesProvision of assistance and reporting to management teamResponsibility to carry out all ballasting operations as well as all the other barge equipment’sManagement of Mooring Crews and assist on all Tug operationsAbility to act as owner’s representative on site and during tow, looking after the Barge’s security and all her assetsReporting to the Maintenance Team and Project TeamExperience as a Seaman and knowledge of Maritime rules and regulationsBe an independent worker, capable of managing his workload with minimum supervision & minimum to no assistanceEducation: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree from a Technical InstituteLanguages: English Language skills requiredTechnical Knowledge: Advanced Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledgeWhat We Can Offer To You31.12.2025 (subject to extension according to Company needs)Corporate Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.Our One Saipem Way soft skills model leverages on skills development, career growth, opportunities to innovate through complex challenges by promoting communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.Additional InformationWe embrace diversity!
