Job Title: Vice President of Manufacturing OperationsIndustry: Heavy ManufacturingJob Overview:The Vice President of Manufacturing Operations is a core member of the company's senior management team, responsible for strategic planning, operational management, and process optimization for the manufacturing department. This position ensures production efficiency, product quality, and cost control, supporting the company's business objectives and market competitiveness.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute manufacturing operations strategies to ensure production plans, quality standards, and cost targets are achieved.Manage the entire production department, including the shop floor, equipment, processes, and production teams.Optimize production processes and resource allocation to improve production efficiency and capacity utilization.Promote the application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation technologies in production.Oversee the production quality control system to ensure products meet industry standards and customer requirements.Coordinate with supply chain, engineering, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth production operations.Manage production budgets, equipment investments, and operating costs to continuously reduce costs and improve efficiency.Develop safety management and environmental protection policies to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations at the production site.Establish a performance appraisal system, cultivate a high-performing team, and promote employee development and skills enhancement.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred.10+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in senior management positions.Familiarity with heavy manufacturing processes, production management procedures, and lean manufacturing philosophies.Excellent strategic planning, leadership, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.Proficiency in production management systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and data analysis tools.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive improvement in complex environments.Experience managing large teams, with effective communication and motivational skills.Reporting to:Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Team:Production Manager, Process Engineer, Shop Supervisor, Quality Supervisor, and other Manufacturing Team MembersProgression Path:Promotion to Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Group Director of Manufacturing Operations
