The Resort features 86 luxurious villas, the award-winning Raffles Spa as well as several stylish and unique dining options.We offer excellent career development and growth opportunities for our colleagues who have the talent, dedication, drive and passion to be part of a leading global luxury hospitality brand.Job DescriptionTo provide prompt and courteous in-Villa Dining service to the Hotel’s guests.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesKnow all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relay the information to the guest in a polite and concise way when requestedPolitely greet and briefly converse with guests in room while delivering trolleys/mealsSet up table and serve food from trolley with correct preparation of all ordersShow and explain food to ensure all (and proper) items are receivedAnswer questions re: Villa service and responds to requests for additional F&B serviceProperly collect and neatly stack dirty dishes on trolley, table, or tray and remove from rooms or retrieve from pantries outside of villa’s Break down trays at stewarding areaClean work station including room service trays, hot boxes and room service shelvesEnsure that work station is stocked with appropriate condiments at all timesReport any guest comments and feedback to manager and follow up if necessaryConscientious handling of operating equipment and maintaining the department’s service and storage areas in a clean and tidy conditionLearn and adhere to safety, sanitation and hygiene policiesMaintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, and hotel services/featuresActively promote Hotel’s services and facilities and offer information about other Raffles properties to guests and suppliersHelp minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipmentHandle cash following established and proper Accounting proceduresAssist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations during peak hours if neededPERSONAL ATTRIBUTESVery good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English languageMust be well presented and professionally groomed at all timesAble to account and handle cash effectively and efficientlyGood communication and customer contact skills; good problem resolution skillsBasic F&B product knowledgeTeam player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detailQualificationsMinimum 1-year food and beverage serving experiencePrevious public contact and/or cashiering experienceAdditional InformationRelated experience of in room dining serviceAdditional language of Arabic, German or RussianCommunication SkillsOrganizationCleaningTime ManagementCustomer ServiceInterpersonal SkillsTeamworkPhysical Stamina
