This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.This is a Permanent, Part-time (0.6) opportunity.The position will be based primarily at Eagle Farm however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.Key Responsibilities Contribute to the success of the organisation through promoting and modelling SkillsTech’s core values and Agreed Behaviours and the established TAFE Queensland values of Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility, Showing Initiative, and Safety First. Maintain a working knowledge of current training package requirements; relevant vocational education and training (VET) legislation, regulations and guidelines to ensure the provision of timely advice to employers, apprentices and other key stakeholders regarding training outcomes for ElectroTechnology students. Provide employers with advice regarding Region training programs, innovative learning solutions and assist in the identification of additional learning opportunities to enhance the personal and professional growth of their apprentices. Coordinate student access to learning programs and appropriate assessment processes and records (both on and off the job), ensuring all aspects of the training program are satisfactorily achieved for clients in a timely manner and within budget. Manage the training contract completion process, including the tracking of upcoming completions and all associated records management, with a view to ensuring apprentices complete within the nominal completion date, identifying any relevant concerns and proposing workable solutions in consultation with the relevant Business Manager. Monitor eProfiling activities and maintain thorough records of client industry placement needs, training and assessment programs provided and associated reporting documentation to ensure that the Region is compliant with the relevant statutory obligations. Cultivate and maintain effective and mutually beneficial working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including industry, departmental and regulatory bodies); proactively engaging with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction with the Region’s functions and services, and identifying and capitalising on potential business opportunities. Utilise a range of software applications and student management systems to perform the administrative functions throughout the apprentice training lifecycle to maintain student records, and relevant training plan/contract documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement through active participation in the development and review of business processes, documentation and practices as they relate to Electrotechnology training and student management. Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self development and contributing to the development of the Electrotechnology team. How You Will Be AssessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: Demonstrated commitment to self-development, with a focus on maintaining skills and knowledge in contemporary vocational training, learning and assessment practices and the use of educational technologies and learning management systems to support learning and assessment. Ability to communicate effectively, including developing rapport and maintaining positive and collaborative working partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to identify and create innovative solutions in a flexible and client-orientated training market. Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks, and deliver successful outcomes within specified timeframes, either independently or as a member of a team. Proficiency in the use of a range of computerised systems and applications relevant to the administrative management of the apprentice/trainee lifecycle, including the ability to generate reports and correspondence and extract and compile accurate and meaningful data to provide advice to stakeholders. Highly Desirable Requirements Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), or equivalent. Trade/Post-trade qualifications are highly desirable.
