Emmerdale fans praise 'charming' new relationship in major Kev twist

Emmerdale fans praised Nicola and Lewis' "charming" relationship as Kev decided he was ready to tell-all. Actor Chris Coghill has been making waves since his Emmerdale debut as Kev Townsend just a few months ago. His unexpected arrival shocked Robert Sugden who was then forced to confront that his prison husband was back in his life. Kev announced that he was terminally ill and only had months left to live. Robert decided to stick things out with Kev, and even renewed his vows. However, viewers soon learned that Kev was lying about being terminal - a secret that Dr Liam Cavanagh unravelled and confronted the ex-prisoner about. In a flashback episode, we learned how Kev and Robert's relationship blossomed from cell mates to husbands, and it became clear that Kev wanted Robert all to himself. Robert made the decision to end things with Kev when he rekindled his relationship with Aaron Dingle. Now, Kev has been spiralling has his obsession to get Robert back has led to some unhinged behaviour from the new Dales resident. It was recently revealed that Robert isn't Kev's only link to Emmerdale, as he was confirmed to be the biological father of Lewis Barton after a one-night stand with Emma Barton over 20 years ago. Touching on his storyline with Chris, actor Bradley Riches shared: "Lewis and Kev just having a moment… while you guys are creating theories and drawing family trees in the group chat. "What happens next? Who knows… Will everything be what it seems?" Nicola King who has been supportive of Lewis since he arrived in the village, was seen arguing with Kev as he wanted to tell Lewis the truth about his identity. With Nicola choosing to fiercely protect Lewis, viewers admitted they loved this relationship.
