Who is playing in the AFLW grand final?

This year's AFLW grand final will be contested between North Melbourne and the Brisbane Lions.

It is the third straight year that the two sides will face off for the AFLW premiership.

The Kangaroos took out last year's grand final, while the Lions won the first grand final meeting between the two teams in 2023.

If Brisbane is successful in this year's grand final, it will be the club's third AFLW premiership — tying Adelaide for the competition record.

Who are the key players for each team?

There will be no shortage of talent on either side in the AFLW grand final. Jennifer Dunne and Courtney Hodder are Brisbane's All-Australian representatives, while Tahlia Randall, Jasmine Garner, Ash Riddell and Blaithin Bogue were North's All-Australians.

Riddell was recently voted as the league best and fairest for the 2025 season after averaging a career-high 35.3 disposals and 5.1 clearances per game in 14 appearances so far this season.

Bogue is currently the equal leading goal-kicker in the league having kicked 25 majors this season, while Randall has 23.

While she didn't make the All-Australian team, Alexandra Anderson also looms as a key player for Brisbane, having averaged 24.9 disposals per game through 14 appearances this season.

North Melbourne is coached by Darren Crocker, who was the coach of the Kangaroos' premiership side last season.

Crocker played 165 games for North Melbourne's men's side and was a part of the 1996 men's premiership team.

He also holds the rare distinction of having coached both North Melbourne's men's and women's teams.

Crocker has coached North's women's side since 2021.

Brisbane is coached by Craig Starcevich, who has already coached the Lions to two premierships in 2021 and 2023.
