BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- China stands ready to work with Spain to forge a comprehensive strategic partnership with greater strategic determination, dynamism and global influence, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday. Australia joins India, Japan, US for Exercise Malabar 2025 to boost Indo-Pacific security cooperation

Canberra [Australia], November 12 (ANI): Australia on Wednesday joined India, Japan and the United States for the multilateral naval exercise, Exercise Malabar 2025, a major Indo-Pacific maritime drill aimed at strengthening interoperability and coordination among the four partner nations. According to a statement issued by Australia's Ministry of Defence, the Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) Anzac-class frigate HMAS Ballarat and a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft are taking part in the exercise being held in the West Pacific training area from November 10 to 18. The Poseidon will operate from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, the statement read. Australia's Chief of Joint Operations, Vice Admiral Justin Jones, stated that the exercise highlights the importance of regional partnerships in the face of evolving security challenges. 'Through Exercise Malabar, Australia and partner nations are strengthening Indo-Pacific security by tackling shared challenges, coordinating collective strength and closing gaps in global engagement,' Vice Admiral Jones said. 'Through complex drills in anti-submarine warfare, air defence and replenishment at sea, participating nations build the trust, interoperability and readiness needed to respond to our collective security challenges,' he added. First established as a bilateral India-US exercise in 1992, Exercise Malabar has since evolved into a key Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) maritime activity involving Australia, Japan, India and the United States. Australia hosted the 2023 edition of the exercise. Though the Quad is not a military alliance, the exercise serves as a platform to strengthen maritime security and uphold freedom of navigation in the region. Indigenously designed and constructed, INS Sahyadri is a Guided Missile Stealth Frigate. The ship is a shining example of the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' vision and has participated in several bilateral and multilateral exercises, as well as operational deployments. The Harbour Phase of Exercise Malabar-2025 will feature operational planning and discussions, alignment on communication protocols, familiarisation visits between participating nations, and sports fixtures. UK stops sharing 'drug boat' intelligence with US - media

London reportedly opposes President Donald Trump's strikes on alleged cartel vessels The UK has stopped sharing intelligence on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean with the US after the Pentagon began conducting lethal strikes on the vessels, CNN and The Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter. The US has killed at least 76 people in international waters since September as part of President Donald Trump's campaign against those he says are "narcoterrorists" operating out of Venezuela. According to CNN, London suspended intelligence-sharing because it believes the strikes are illegal under international law. A UK military source told The Times: "We don't just target the vessel and kill people. We would arrest them." The UK had used intelligence assets stationed on its Caribbean overseas territories to help the US Coast Guard intercept vessels suspected of smuggling drugs, CNN said. The UN's top human rights official, Volker Turk, condemned the US strikes as "extrajudicial killing," while Venezuela and neighboring Colombia denied that the victims were involved with cartels. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has rejected Trump's allegations that his government was profiting from the drug trade. Trump has deployed a naval armada, including the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, near Venezuela's coast, hinting that he may authorize strikes on Venezuelan soil. He denies seeking regime change, however. Maduro, for his part, placed the military on alert and vowed to repel any attack.

Kemi një ministre që kryeministri në Asamblenë e PS i tha do të merresh me sistemin e adresave. A thua se ky është roli kryesor i ministrit të Brendshëm. Ndërkohë që Policia e Shtetit është problematike dhe që Policia e Shtetit të drejtohet duhet të ketë një vullnet të fortë politik dhe një ministër të brendshëm të fortë. Pse pati sukses lufta kundër korrupsionit në 2005-2007? Sepse Sokol Olldashi kishte një vullnet të hekurt politik i mbështetur nga kryeministri. Ne duhet të kemi një ministër të Brendshëm me vullnet të fortë politik të mbështetur nga një kryeministër dhe nuk mund të kemi një drejtor policie i cili merr një oficer policie profesionist dhe e degdis pse merr telefonin e një të arrestuari apo shumë nga drejtorët dhe strukturat e tij janë shumë të akuzuar dhe profesionistët dhe njerëzit që janë me eksperiencë në Policinë e Shtetit janë larguar janë anatemuar se nuk i pëlqejnë Ilir Prodës i cili ka celularin në SPAK apo është i përfolur për lidhje shumë të dyshimta”, tha gazetari Elvi Fundo./ CNA

"Sincere prayers": Japan PM Sanae Takaichi expresses "deep sorrow" over loss of lives in Delhi blast

Tokyo [Japan], November 12 (ANI): Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the explosion that occurred in Delhi, India.In a post on X, Takaichi said, "I am in deep sorrow to learn that many precious lives were lost in the explosion that occurred in Delhi, India."https://x.com/takaichi_sanae/status/1988214655551262993?s=20"On behalf of the Government and people of Japan, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their bereaved families," she added.The Japanese Prime Minister further said, "I also offer my sincere prayers for the swift recovery of the injured."Israel too extended its condolences, with Foreign Minister Gideon Saar offering heartfelt sympathy to the people of India following the deadly explosion near Delhi's iconic Red Fort, which claimed at least eight lives and injured several others.Posting on X, Saar said, "I extend my & Israel's deepest condolences to the People of India and especially to the families of the innocent victims killed in the blast at the heart of Delhi." He also wished "speedy recovery to the wounded."Reaffirming Israel's solidarity with India, the Israeli Foreign Minister stated, "Israel stands with India in its fight against terror."The explosion, which occurred around 7 pm on Monday near the Subhash Marg traffic signal close to the Red Fort, involved a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car and caused damage to several nearby vehicles, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.He said that "all possibilities" were being explored, with multiple agencies joining the investigation to determine the cause and motive behind the blast. In response to the tragedy, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov on Tuesday expressed deep shock over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the victims' families.Posting on X, he said, "Shocked by the explosion at the Red Fort. Confident that the ongoing thorough investigation will determine the cause of the incident. We express condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."Following the explosion, Delhi Police registered a case under sections 16 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Kotwali Police Station.The case is now being jointly investigated by central and state agencies amid heightened security in the national capital.The blast has drawn widespread condemnation and messages of solidarity from several world leaders and foreign missions.Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said, "Saddened by news of the explosion in Delhi last evening. Sri Lanka stands in solidarity with the people of India. Our thoughts are with all those affected."Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar also described the incident as "heartbreaking", commending the swift response of emergency teams."Heartbreaking scenes in Delhi following the car blast, resulting in so many dead and injured. The Government of India has placed several Indian states on high alert."The explosion, which struck one of Delhi's busiest heritage zones, has prompted a nationwide security alert as investigators work to identify those responsible and determine whether the incident was a targeted act of terror.
