Bigg Boss 19: Baseer And Nehal Get Eliminated From Salman Khan-Hosted Show

The latest weekend episode of Bigg Boss 19 brought a major shake as two contestants, Baseer Ali and Nehal Chudasama, bid farewell to the house. The double eviction took everyone by surprise, especially since Baseer was widely seen as one of the season's most competitive players. What's HappeningThe weekend episode hosted by Salman Khan turned emotional as both Nehal and Baseer's names were announced for eviction. Viewers had been anticipating a single elimination, but the makers delivered a twist with two exits instead. Four contestants - Gaurav, Baseer, Pranit, and Nehal - had been nominated this week, keeping fans on edge throughout the voting period.Baseer's departure stunned many, given his strong presence and consistent performance on the show. Nehal, on the other hand, had faced criticism during her stay, both from her fellow housemates and from Salman himself. She was often accused of stirring up unnecessary drama to remain in the spotlight. This was Nehal's second chance in the house, as she had earlier been evicted but sent to the Secret Room before re-entering the main house. However, this time around, her journey officially came to an end.BackgroundThis marks the second double eviction of Bigg Boss 19, which has been running under the theme Iss Baar Chalegi Gharwaloon Ki Sarkar. The season, which premiered on August 24, 2025, on JioHotstar and Colors TV, has already seen several unexpected twists and alliances.Earlier speculation suggested that one of the eliminated contestants might once again be placed in a Secret Room to re-enter later. However, the makers reportedly dropped the idea at the last moment, confirming both Nehal and Baseer's exits as permanent.ALSO READ: Hina Khan Accuses Bigg Boss 19 Of Rigged Nominations: "Show Has Lost Its Charm"

Man dressed in Nazi uniform arrested for assaulting a woman outside of Georgia college bar

A man dressed in a Nazi officer uniform was arrested in Athens, Georgia, after he allegedly got into a fight with a woman outside of a bar. Kenneth Morgan, 33, was arrested on Friday and has been charged with aggravated assault and simple battery, according to WTOC. In a video being spread on social media, a man is seen standing outside a bar in Athens, Georgia, dressed in a Nazi officer's uniform. A woman is yelling at him and appears to be pushing him away from the bar's entrance. Other passersby stop to stare and berate the man. “Get the f*** out, get the f*** out, you don’t f***** wear that s***,” the woman says in the video as she pushes the man away from the door. Bryce Fowler, the general manager at Cutter's Pub, where the incident occurred, told the University of Georgia - Athens student newspaper The Red & Black that the man in the Nazi outfit was never allowed into the bar. The bar's owner, Patrick Depaolo, told the New York Post that he was glad Morgan was arrested, but disappointed the incident escalated into violence. “He thought it was funny, nobody else thought it was funny. I’m just glad everyone’s safe, I know that woman got hurt, but I think she’s okay. That guy got arrested, which is good. I wish people didn’t do things like that and I’m sorry it escalated,” he said. At some point, the man becomes embroiled in a fight with a woman, though it's unclear in the video what led to the battle, other than the man's decision to wear Nazi garb. It appears as though the man in the footage smashes a glass pitcher into one woman's face. The video ends, and bystanders move to intervene. The woman, identified as a UGA student, Grace Lang, told the Red & Black that she suffered a broken nose in the attack. Lang told the paper that she was at the bar with a Jewish friend and saw Morgan yelling at a pair of women who were objecting to his outfit. She said she moved between him and the women and attempted to rip off his swastika armband. She said that the fight over the armband kicked off the struggle that led to Morgan allegedly hitting her with a pitcher. UGA confirmed in a statement to WTOC that the school's support staff have been in contact with Lang and other students who witnessed the incident. The university also confirmed that Morgan is not a student and has no affiliation with the school. "His actions, which were caught on videotape, are appalling, and we are grateful to Athens-Clarke County police officers for swiftly apprehending and arresting him,” UGA said. Morgan is currently being held on a $1,500 bond for simple battery. He is also facing an aggravated assault charge, which has no bond.

Row erupts over Melania Trump’s silence on White House demolition: ‘Doesn’t care about history...’

As bulldozers tear down the East Wing of the White House to make way for President Donald Trump’s multi-million dollar ballroom, one voice has been notably missing from the debate — that of first lady Melania Trump. The East Wing was once the headquarters of first ladies since the Carter era. The demolition has upended her office space and disrupted public tours, yet Melania has not publicly commented on the matter. Her office declined to respond when asked by CNN whether she supports the project, despite the outcry from former East Wing staffers of both parties. Crews began work this week on the president’s long-promised gilded ballroom, which critics, mostly Democratic, have called an unnecessary vanity project.Melania spends most of her time in New York and Palm Beach. She rarely visits Washington and keeps a small staff of just five full-time members. These aides have been temporarily relocated to rooms within the executive mansion. The White House has not confirmed whether the ballroom’s design will include permanent office space for the first lady. According to experts, the lack of communication shows her increasingly distant role during her husband’s second term.Kate Andersen Brower, author of First Women, which explores the influence of presidential spouses, said: “Watching the demolition is the physical embodiment of watching the first lady’s role become smaller and smaller. She’s making it clear that – like her husband – she’s not going to be like any other first lady. … She doesn’t care about historic precedent, either.”“Since Monday, I have heard from alumni of the East Wing from multiple administrations who are understandably stunned by the images,” said Anita McBride, former chief of staff to First Lady Laura Bush. “First ladies’ staff lived and witnessed history within those walls and nothing can take away the memories of working in that extraordinarily special place of purpose and service.”Observers have compared Melania’s silence to a neighbour ignoring the demolition of her own garage. “It would be like — you’re really close to your next door neighbour, but they decided to demolish your garage for a basketball court, and you didn’t really say anything about it,” said journalist Kate Bennett, author of Free, Melania.During her first term, Melania was an active steward of White House preservation, overseeing furniture restorations and the Rose Garden redesign. But this time, she has largely stepped back, leaving her husband to take charge of renovations. The East Wing has long been a symbol of the first lady’s influence. Built in 1902 and expanded in 1942, it became the official home of the Office of the first lady under Rosalynn Carter in 1977. For decades, it served as both a working space and the main entrance for state dinners and receptions.

Pune land deal controversy: Jain monk warns to cancel deal before November 1

The Jain monks and community members on Monday (October 27, 2025) will demonstrate against the alleged ₹300-crore sale of the historic Seth Hirachand Nemchand Digambar Jain Boarding land in Model Colony in Maharashtra’s Pune district to a real estate developer and launch a silent rally across Maharashtra, said Jain saint Acharya Guptinandi Maharaj on Sunday (October 26, 2025). “This is not just a matter of one hostel, but about many religious trusts through which several organisations serve vulnerable, poor, and underprivileged people. This deal is a dishonour to Lord Mahavir Swami- 24th Jain Tirthankar,” said Mr. Guptinandi Maharaj, warning that if the deal is not cancelled before November 1, then they will go on hunger strike. The Jain community across Maharashtra will launch a one-day silent protest across the State on October 27, a religious hearing on October 28, and observe a one-day fast on October 29. “Ek upvas, badlega bharat ka ithihas (one fast will change India’s history,” quoted Acharya, appealing to community members not to take any actions individually before November 1. The 3.5-acre property in the upmarket Model Colony area consists of a century-old Jain temple and Seth Hirachand Nemchand Smarak Trust’s (SHNT) Jain Boarding House in Shivajinagar in Pune. SHNT, a charitable trust, was established in 1958. At the start of the year, the Charity Commissioner allegedly approved the deal between the trustees and Gokhale builders. However, the protesters, including Monks and alumni, allege the sale violates the trust deed and omits disclosure of the temple’s presence. The land deal has triggered a political controversy as Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol has been facing allegations of links to a real estate developer. After the opposition, the Charity Commissioner ordered a status quo on the property and directed an inquiry into the temple’s existence. However, Mr. Mohol has denied the charges and gave “an assurance to resolve” the issue as soon as possible. The meeting was held on Sunday (October 26, 2025) to discuss the matter with the members of the Jain community, social activists, and former MP Raju Shetti, also a member of the community. “The government should bring the law on the rights of trustees over the assets of religious places and public trusts. If such transactions happen, then the donations hold no value. We will meet with everyone involved in this, from builders to trustees, as well as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This deal must be cancelled,” said Mr. Shetti, after the meeting in Pune. ‘End the Matter’ The land deal has also created chaos in the partners of Mahayuti, notably between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena. Ravindra Dhangekar, a Shiv Sena MLA, has made corruption allegations against Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Mr. Mohol, demanding his resignation. Mr. Mohol responded, saying, “He is doing this for political gains”. On Sunday (October 26, 2025), Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde said, “I have asked Dhangekar to end the matter. He is a hard-working activist who doesn’t tolerate injustice. I have asked him not to cause chaos within the Mahayuti alliance and give opportunities to the opposition.”

'Beloved' mum, 45, found dead in street pictured after man, 18, arrested

A 'beloved' mum who was found dead in the street has been pictured for the first time. Police said the body found in the street by passers-by in Prestatyn, North Wales on Friday was that of 45-year-old local woman Angela Shellis. A spokesperson for the family described her a "loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty" who will be "sadly missed." An 18-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of murder remains in custody. Detectives were granted permission by the courts yesterday to keep him in custody as the investigation continues. Police have urged anyone who was in the Morfa area of Prestatyn near to the football fields between 3am and 8.30am to come forward, so they can identify anyone who was in the area at the time. North Wales Police's DCI Andy Gibson said: “The family are being supported by specialist trained officers and ask their privacy is respected during this tragic time. “I am appealing to anyone who was in or around the Morfa area near to the football fields on Friday 24th October between 0300hrs and 0830 hours. “Whether you believe you have anything of significance to offer the investigation, it is imperative that we identify any persons in the area during these key times." DCI Gibson added: “An 18-yr old male remains in custody and detectives continue to interview him. “A warrant of further detention was granted at Mold Magistrates Court on Saturday 25th October to allow us to keep the male in custody, whilst the investigation continues. “I urge people not to speculate about the incident online.”

Jack O'Donoghue shines for Munster, Paul Boyle's switch to no7 at Connacht, Rob Baloucoune posts Ulster hat-trick in Johannesburg

Munster got the better of Connacht, 17-15, at Thomond Park, and while it was a deserved win in the face of not hitting the heights of last week, it still needed the Reds to come from behind as they trailed 12-15 at half-time. A win that adds to the southern province's sprint start, their fifth from five outings and which sees them occupying second place in the table, albeit equal on 23 points, behind Stormers. Given those two sides meet in the next set of URC games, Round Six, their Saturday night November 29th clash at Thomond Park is surely one of the hottest sporting tickets of the year. “The one thing that wasn’t missing today was effort," said new boss Clayton McMillan after the win over Connacht. "And after last week, when you play those sorts of games, a lot of the emotion, a huge amount of energy spent, it can be tough to back up the following week, and we acknowledged that early. “I thought the coaching staff and the players really responded well to the challenge during the week. We parked the euphoria of the previous week and got on with the business, knowing that Connacht were going to come here and throw the kitchen sink at us and that’s what we got. “So really pleasing and I could sense through the warm-up that we were there mentally and the effort was there. We weren’t gifted a lot, and we had to work for everything, but we got there.” Thus Saturday night's tussle hinged on the only second-half score, Man of the Match Alax Nankivell putting Jack O'Donoghue in for an unconverted try in the 67th minute - part of yet another eye-catching game from the Waterford-born 31-year-old. O'Donoghue has been capped twice, against Canada 2016 and Japan 2017, and while he has recently suggested international rugby has now bypassed him there is little doubt five games into the 2025/26 season, McMillan has the magic beans the back-row is thriving on. There was also interest in Stuart Lancaster putting Paul Boyle in for a first game in the no. 7 shirt - he had never started a professional game there before - with the knock-on suggestion there had been a conversation with Andy Farrell about the lack of coverage for Josh van der Flier at the higher level. This, in turn, could allow Sean Jansen concentrate on no8, a player who was a star performer for Ireland A against England in Bristol last February - carrying for more metres than any other Irish player in atrocious conditions in a match which wasn't televised. Boyle bagged one of the Westerners three tries and if there is another 10/15 percent to come from him as an open-side flanker Lancaster - whose singular overarching expertise is the no7 role - may have made a very, very interesting call. “You can’t underestimate how tough that was,” said Munster skipper O’Donoghue afterwards. “We started the game really well and probably fell into a bit of complacency. “In fairness to Connacht, they threw everything at us, but our defence was awesome. We came away with the four points, so absolutely we will take it. We are delighted.” Elsewhere there was, by the way, a performance worthy of 'instant' international recognition and it came from Robert Baloucoune for Ulster against Lions in Johannesburg. Ulster lost 49-31 to Lions, swamped in the last quarter at altitude where they were literally out on the feet and couldn't contain tackles, in a 12-try thriller. He's big, he's quick, he looks back to full fitness for the first time in 18 months and he bagged a sixth, 40th and 53rd minute hat-trick that helped keep Ulster in the game, three points adrift for instance with 13 minutes to play. "It's a difficult one to take, we're in that game for 55, 60 minutes and let it get away from us in the end," said Ulster boss Richie Murphy. "Over the course of the game, our error count was probably too high and we just invited the Lions into the game. "Scrum dominance from them put us under a lot of pressure, but it's a massive effort from the players in a very tough situation, 28 or 29 degrees at altitude, it's not an easy place to be." Baloucoune has been inspirational: "Incredible. Having Rob back is fantastic. He got through another full game, which is exciting for us, and long may that fitness level continue. "We have an embarrassment of riches in the back three. Zac Ward has been on fire, Werner Kok has been really good and Mikey Lowry's flying. "I thought both Bryn Ward and Joe Hopes (making debuts) put in a big shift. There's going to be little things there that we'll review and give them some feedback. It's good to see them both come through the game and contribute so much."

Rangers end 165-day wait against Kilmarnock as £8.5m striker stops barren run on rare day of harmony at Ibrox

Rangers took their first steps towards putting a nightmare start to the campaign behind them as new head coach Danny Röhl began his Ibrox reign with a deserved win 3-1 over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership. In what was a now commonplace tense afternoon for Rangers, their first home league win in 165 days came through goals from Derek Cornelius (15), Danilo (52), and Youssef Chermiti (73), providing some hope that a corner can be turned under Rohl. In a campaign resembling a horror movie, this win could provide a platform for the 36-year-old German to script a better ending to a season. As Rohl stated earlier in the week, one swallow won’t make a summer, calling for his team to provide “wins in a row” in his first press conference. Nevertheless, he will be relieved that he and his side have given beleaguered supporters something to cling. Now up to fifth, Rohl managed to do in five days what the previous incumbent Russell Martin failed to do during his two months in the hot seat - win a league game at Ibrox. Making four changes to the side that lost in 3-0 to SK Brann in the Europa League, Röhl handed recalls to Cornelius, Danilo, and Bojan Miovski, while Mohamed Diomande returned following injury. Dressed in a club suit and tie, the Rangers boss was animated on the touchline from the off, demanding that his side push forward early and often. Harmony has been missing in Govan for some time, but, in a far cry from their feeling towards Martin, Röhl was serenaded by the home crowd early on, and he had further reason to smile shortly afterwards when Cornelius headed home from a pinpoint James Tavernier free-kick early in the game. Against the run of play, though, Kilmarnock’s George Stanger silenced the reinvigorated home crowd when he netted from Greg Kiltie’s corner, much to the Rangers fans’ frustration, who had felt there was a foul in the build-up to it. Miovski thought he had quickly restored the hosts’ lead when he headed in from close range after rookie goalkeeper Edward Beach had smashed his clearance off the back of Cornelius, only for VAR to rule that the Macedonian was offside. Rangers fans vented their anger at Kevin Clancy at the break, but soon put the referee’s performance to the back of their mind when Danilo peeled off Robbie Deas to nod home his second goal of the season shortly after the break. An unexpected starter, the Brazilian was given a rapturous applause when he was replaced by £8.5million summer signing Chermiti for the final 20 minutes of the clash. Chermiti ended his own barren run in front of goal by bagging a somewhat fortunate goal. Without a club strike in 719 days, the Portuguese frontman found the net in fortunate circumstances when Beech somehow allowed his drive to slip beyond his fingertips. With a raised fist aimed towards the Main Stand, the look of relief on his face mirrored those in attendance in Glasgow. US readies new sanctions as Russia stalls on Ukraine peace negotiations: Report

The sanctions could reportedly be imposed if Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no interest in meaningful negotiations and continues to delay ending Russia’s war in Ukraine. Trump announced his administration’s first sanctions against Moscow since taking office on Wednesday, targeting Russia’s two largest oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil, and their subsidiaries. The measures freeze all U.S.-based assets of those companies and pave the way for secondary sanctions against foreign institutions that handle transactions with those on the blacklist. Some of the additional sanctions prepared by the U.S. are directed against Russia’s banking sector and the infrastructure used to supply oil to the market, according to the Reuters sources. Ukrainian officials also reportedly proposed new sanctions to Washington last week. Among the specific proposals were measures to cut off all Russian banks from the U.S. dollar system. Two sources told Reuters that U.S. officials have informed Europe that they support the EU’s plan to use Russian frozen assets to buy American weapons for Kyiv, as requested by Ukraine. Washington has reportedly held preliminary discussions on the use of Russian assets located in the U.S. The EU froze about $300 billion of Russia’s central bank’s foreign reserves in February 2022 as part of its third sanctions package, prohibiting all transactions related to their management. Belgium, where the majority of frozen funds is parked, put the brakes on swift progress on the use of frozen Russian assets, warning that its demands related to legal worries would first need to be met. The move signals a tougher U.S. stance after Putin’s negotiating position led to the cancellation of a planned Trump-Putin summit in Budapest, with Trump saying he did not want “a wasted meeting.” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov earlier reiterated that Russia’s stance on ending hostilities along the current front lines, which Washington and Ukraine support, “has not changed.” Following Trump’s sanctions, India’s biggest refineries are expected to reduce purchases from Rosneft and Lukoil to virtually zero, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed executives at Indian oil companies. Chinese state-owned oil companies have also suspended purchases of seaborne Russian crude following the sanctions, amid fears of potential secondary sanctions, according to Reuters.
