Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report

Aryan Khan, who recently earned appreciation for his debut Netflix directorial The Ba***ds of Bollywood, is already moving ahead with his next set of projects. The series, which featured Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol and an ensemble cast, marked Aryan’s official entry as a director and showcased his inclination towards bold storytelling. With the streaming debut now behind him, the filmmaker is preparing for a larger leap — a theatrical feature. Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report According to industry sources, Aryan's next directorial will be a full-fledged film intended for a big-screen release. The young filmmaker is reportedly determined to establish himself in the theatrical space before stepping into what will arguably be the most anticipated collaboration of his career — directing his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. A source quoted by Pinkvilla revealed that Aryan is taking a measured, merit-driven approach to his career choices. “Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” the insider shared. The intention, the source added, is to build credibility in the industry by letting the work speak for itself rather than relying on legacy or expectations. Plans for the father-son collaboration are very much in motion, though the film is not expected to take off immediately. “If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027,” the source added. For now, Aryan is dedicating his attention to completing the script for his second feature film. The project is likely to enter the casting stage soon, with more details about the genre, ensemble, and production timeline expected to emerge in the coming months. With his debut project sparking conversations and his next two films already generating industry buzz, Aryan Khan appears to be pacing his journey with focus and strategic clarity. As anticipation builds for his theatrical debut — and eventually, his directorial collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan — all eyes are on the young filmmaker’s next move. Man Shares Mid-Air Scare On IndiGo Flight As Burning Smell Fills Cabin: ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation’ | Video

A passenger recently shared a terrifying mid-air experience on an IndiGo flight, claiming that a strong burning smell suddenly filled the cabin and triggered panic among travellers. Describing the tense atmosphere on board, he added that even the flight attendants appeared confused and were unable to provide any clear technical explanation for the pungent odour. In the clip, the overlay text reads, “Midair, it started to smell like something was on fire inside the plane. People started checking, and air hostesses were running. One guy was saying to make the plane land.” When passengers inquired about the smell, the crew reportedly explained that the aircraft was new and had completed only two flights so far. “The air hostesses were also confused, and on top of that, they said that the plane is new and had done only two journeys till now. They did a great job at calming people,” the passenger said in the video. ‘The Smell Was Quite Strong And Increasing’ In the caption, the man described the tense atmosphere inside the plane, writing, “Why the crew got so scared in the end? They managed eventually, but at first, we were all frightened because of the strong smell and the way the situation was handled.” He added, “No proper technical information was given — people just said it might have come from here or somewhere else. The smell was quite strong, not just a faint one, and it stayed and was increasing also.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ar. Krishna Gaur (@_maikrishnahoon_) At the end of the video, the passenger confirmed that the flight landed safely, though he said no clear explanation was given to passengers. “We landed safely but no one told what actually happened and the staff was also confused. People literally started crying for a few minutes,” he recounted. ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation,’ Recalls A Passenger The incident, captured and shared on Instagram, triggered a flood of reactions from users. Many shared their views and own experiences. A few also slammed IndiGo airlines for their poor services. A user commented, “Bhai vo kabhi kabhi engine se smoke ki smell aati h (Brother, sometimes it is the smell of smoke from the engine.) “Maybe because it’s new, some protective coatings and elements were being ‘burnt’ off due to heating of components! But, on a serious note, this can be a terrifying and extremely dangerous situation. Glad all were safe,” said a user. Another Instagram user claimed to have been on the same flight, saying, “I was on that flight along with my family. The smoke smell was very strong and stayed for around 15 mins, and the onboard air hostesses were not aware of why it was happening!! It was a panic-like situation! @indigo.6e no clarification was given to passengers about why it happened and whether it was being rectified or not. It was really a bad experience.” “The water kettle that they use for heating water also smells at times,” shared a user. An individual stated, “Outside air. Maybe high level of smoke. The thick smoke can seep into the plane.” “Indigo has been going down in terms for service. They sometimes have no answers,” a user criticised. Many users tagged the airlines seeking their response on the situation. But IndiGo has not issued an official statement regarding the incident as of now.

Rohit Sharma Loses It After 'Shocking' Former Teammate: 'Give Me An...' | Watch

Indian batting stalwart Rohit Sharma is enjoying his break from India duties after recently making his international return during the Australia tour. Rohit has been spending time with his family and relishing moments with old friends and teammates. On Thursday (November 6), the 38-year-old shared a hilarious clip of a prank he successfully pulled off on one of his former India and Mumbai teammates, Dhawal Kulkarni. In the amusing video he posted on Instagram, Rohit stunned Kulkarni with a trick pen that gives a minor electric shock. Interestingly, he managed to dodge the prank himself. At the beginning of the video, one of Rohit’s friends requests him for an autograph and gives him a pen. Immediately suspicious over the sudden request and the design of the pen, Rohit declines and warns his friend in jest to watch out for what he does. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Rohit Sharma (@rohitsharma45) “Ro, can you give me an autograph?” the friend asks, to which Rohit inspects the pen and instantly recognises the prank. “This is not a pen,” he said. “Do you know what’s wrong with this? I’ll tell you now. I’ll use this on someone. Someone who is very, very special.” Before proceeding to play his prank on Kulkarni, Rohit gave the pen with the electric shock to another one of his friends and burst out laughing when he pressed it and received the shock. “What happened?” Rohit asked, to which his friend responded, “Hey, that’s what’s in it – shock.” Then came Kulkarni’s turn. The prank took place during a gym session with a few of Rohit’s domestic teammates, including fellow seamer Shardul Thakur. Rohit asked someone to give the pen to Kulkarni and waited for the reaction. As he checked the pen, Kulkarni received an electric shock and moved awkwardly. Rohit then muttered something as Kulkarni clicked the pen again and received another shock, much to the amusement of the India and Mumbai Indians superstar. Rohit ended the recent ODI series against Australia with a terrific hundred in Sydney, shutting his doubters after an extensive debate over his slipping form. The limited-overs legend will be back in action with the three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting November 30.

Allu Sirish Radiates Royal Elegance In A Manish Malhotra Sherwani At His Engagement

When it comes to fashion, the Allu family has long been synonymous with effortless elegance, and Allu Sirish’s engagement look just reaffirmed that legacy. On October 31, 2025, the actor got engaged to his longtime partner, Nayanika, in an intimate yet breathtaking ceremony in Hyderabad. The evening reflected everything the Allu family stands for – class, culture, and couture in seamless harmony. While the occasion was rooted in love and tradition, Sirish turned it into a masterclass in contemporary men’s fashion. His choice of attire – an ivory sherwani from Manish Malhotra’s atelier- was nothing short of regal. The ensemble blended timeless Indian craftsmanship with a refined modern sensibility, setting a new benchmark for grooms and groomsmen alike. Allu Sirish’s Manish Malhotra Look View this post on Instagram A post shared by Allu Sirish (@allusirish) Allu Sirish’s custom sherwani was a study in subtle grandeur. Crafted in fine silk, it featured intricate zardozi embroidery that caught the light in all the right ways, lending depth and texture without overpowering the silhouette. The ivory tone symbolised purity and understated luxury – a refreshing contrast to the brighter palettes that often dominate men’s occasionwear. But what truly elevated the look was Sirish’s bold styling choice – a statement Victorian diamond necklace. Daring yet deeply sophisticated, it added a royal flourish to his minimalist palette. Few men experiment with jewellery at this scale, but Sirish’s confidence made it look effortless. The necklace, with its old-world charm and modern edge, served as a nod to the resurgence of men’s jewellery in high fashion: a trend that balances strength with elegance. The engagement décor reflected the same refined aesthetic. Soft pastels, delicate florals, and warm lighting created a serene yet opulent atmosphere – one that complemented the couple’s understated charisma. Every frame radiated intimacy and grandeur in equal measure, making it as much a visual spectacle as a family celebration. Allu Sirish And Nayanika’s Love Story For Sirish, the day also marked a beautiful full circle. He first met Nayanika two years ago during Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi’s wedding celebrations. “That night was the first time Nayanika and I truly met. And now, two years later, we’re happily in love and engaged,” Sirish recalled on social media. The story, and the style, came together seamlessly. Allu Sirish’s engagement look wasn’t just about what he wore, but what it represented: the elegance of heritage meeting the confidence of the modern man.

New Book On Bangladesh Reveals How A 1:30 PM Call From India Saved Sheikh Hasina’s Life | Exclusive

Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina — who escaped 20 minutes before mobs barged into Ganabhaban in Dhaka — could have stayed back and faced the mob had she not received a telephone call from India that made her board the chopper in the afternoon for a cargo flight that would eventually take her to India, where she is in exile right now. Had Hasina not received that call at 1.30 pm on 5th August 2024 — the day she left Bangladesh — she could very well have been assassinated like her father, with a huge crowd just two kilometres away by then. This sensational revelation comes in a yet-to-be-released book, ‘Inshallah Bangladesh: The Story of an Unfinished Revolution‘ written by Deep Halder, Jaideep Mazumdar, and Sahidul Hasan Khokon and published by Juggernaut. While Indian aviation authorities had already permitted any aircraft carrying the Bangladesh prime minister to enter Indian airspace, the book claims even as late as 1.30 pm on 5th August 2024, Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman, along with the Air Force and Navy Chief, failed to convince “adamant” Hasina who tried to “implore her sister” Sheikh Rehana to persuade her. Even a call was made to Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wajeed who lives in the United States, who had a chat with Hasina to “fly to India”, even as the frenzied mob was advancing to Ganabhaban. But Hasina said she would “rather die than flee her country”. But what changed? In a minute, a call came from someone who is not identified in the book but described as “a top official in India whom Sheikh Hasina knew well”. What was the conversation about? “It was a short call. The official told Sheikh Hasina that it was already too late, and if she didn’t leave Gonobhaban immediately, she would be killed. He also told her that she should live to fight another day,” is how the call is narrated. She was taken aback by the blunt message. She took another half an hour to make up her mind to live to fight another day. A blunt message that Hasina seemed to have trusted more than her blood, at that very moment when a decision would mean life or death. Hasina requested to record a speech before leaving, which was denied by the service Chiefs, given anytime the mob was about to crash into Ganabhaban. Sheikh Rehana, the sister who tried to convince Hasina, pulled her into an SUV to whisk them to the helipad. Just two suitcases with clothes accompanied them to Delhi. At 2.23 pm, the chopper took off from Ganabhaban and landed at Tejgaon air base at 2.35 pm. “The aircraft took off from Tejgaon at 2.42 p.m. into the overcast skies, broke through the cloud cover and entered Indian airspace over Malda in West Bengal after about twenty minutes. The take-off coincided with another short spell of showers,” narrates the book. Later that day, which began as early as 4 am for Hasina, the C 170 J landed at Hindon Airbase, where she was welcomed by India’s National Defence Advisor Ajit Doval and taken to an undisclosed location in Delhi for her safety.

XRP Breakdown Sends Ripple-Linked Token Toward $2.20 Defense Zone

XRP plunged sharply Wednesday as sellers overran key support zones, triggering widespread liquidation across exchanges while institutional flows drove the heaviest trading activity in over a week. News Background XRP fell 7.5% over 24 hours, sliding from $2.40 to $2.22 in a broad-based selloff that accelerated after the token breached the $2.28 technical support. The breakdown unfolded alongside a surge in trading volume that reached 137.4 million, representing an 84% spike above the daily average. The selling wave peaked at 15:00 GMT, when cascading stop orders amplified downward pressure, forcing XRP through multiple short-term support levels. The decline spanned an $0.21 range, underscoring heightened volatility as traders unwound leveraged positions. By late session, trading activity dropped sharply to 7.0 million as selling momentum cooled. The sharp contraction in volume reflected exhaustion among short-term participants following one of the steepest intraday declines this month. Price Action Summary Price briefly stabilized near $2.20 before rebounding modestly to $2.224, forming a series of higher lows through 02:12 GMT as short-term buyers entered at oversold levels. The move reflected tactical accumulation rather than directional conviction, as the broader structure remained bearish. Despite the bounce, XRP failed to reclaim the $2.28 breakdown level, confirming the shift in market control to sellers. Consolidation around $2.218 dominated the final trading hours, highlighting indecision amid depleted liquidity. The pattern mirrors prior breakdown phases where low-volume stabilization precedes either short-lived recoveries or further declines. Technical Analysis XRP’s daily structure now confirms a firm bearish bias following multiple failed retests of the $2.40 resistance zone. The decisive breakdown below $2.28 marked the completion of a descending channel formation visible on 4-hour charts, a pattern typically associated with continuation setups in corrective markets. Momentum indicators turned sharply negative as RSI retraced from neutral levels into mild oversold territory, while MACD readings crossed into bearish alignment for the first time in two weeks. These signals support the near-term continuation thesis unless XRP reclaims the $2.28-$2.30 pivot range. Volume analytics strengthen the bearish view, with the 84% surge during the breakdown contrasting sharply with declining participation during the rebound — a classic signature of institutional distribution rather than retail-driven volatility. What Traders Should Know Traders are focused on whether $2.20 can hold as interim support amid continued selling pressure. A decisive break below this level would expose $2.10–$2.00, where prior consolidation zones provide limited technical cushioning. Conversely, recovery efforts require a firm close above $2.28 to neutralize the current downtrend and open a path toward $2.35–$2.40 resistance. Short-term market sentiment remains fragile as derivatives data show rising short exposure and reduced spot demand.

Broncos grind out ugly win vs. Raiders for seventh straight victory

This time, the Broncos‘ prolific fourth-quarter offense didn’t show up. No matter, Denver’s defense most certainly did. The Broncos scraped and scrimped, struggled and staggered, but in the end, they somehow came away with a 10-7 win against Las Vegas at Empower Field on Thursday night. This team has won seven straight games, the longest winning streak since the Super Bowl 50 champs opened the 2015 campaign 7-0. No. 7 for this team won’t be hung in the Denver Art Museum. The Broncos’ offense failed to generate a first down on eight of its first 11 possessions. They took two third-quarter possessions that started in scoring territory, generated minus-8 total yards and came away with just three points. For much of the game, they had more penalties than first downs. But, as the adage goes, they don’t ask how. They only ask how many. In this game, it’d be fair to wonder how. How did the Broncos get away with going three-and-out eight times? How did they get away with yet another lackluster offensive performance and yet another set of special teams maladies? How is this team rolling into a long weekend and mini bye at 8-2, which is guaranteed to survive the weekend, at minimum, tied for the best record in the conference? How should its chances against Kansas City in 10 days be considered, given the group’s entire lack of offensive consistency outside two games against terrible defenses? All of those questions matter in the larger scheme of the 2025 season, and none of them mattered Thursday night. "A lot of stuff for us to cover and yet I'm real proud of the fight," Broncos coach Sean Payton said. "... Our defense was fantastic. Too many penalties on offense that put us in a hole and I've got to be better. But a good win." If anybody had all the answers on a windy night at Empower Field, it was Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and his unit. They sacked Raiders quarterback Geno Smith six times. Five of them came on third or fourth down. They got an interception from outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, his second of the season. They held Las Vegas to 10 first downs, including three in the second half. They did it all without reigning defensive player of the year Pat Surtain II. Funny enough, Thursday night games tend toward randomness, but this one featured all of the Broncos’ typical first-half hallmarks. The offense, prone to slow starts, put forth one of its slowest. Bo Nix and company went three-and-out three straight times to begin the game, didn’t record a first down until the 5:50 mark of the second quarter and in all engineered just four first downs before halftime. J.K. Dobbins carried the ball on the first three snaps of the game and then ran it just once more until the third quarter. The Broncos committed seven first-half penalties and then had two more to open the third quarter before a play had officially been run. They finished with 11 for 78 yards overall. When Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty powered into the end zone late in the first quarter, Las Vegas became the ninth team in 10 games to score first against the Broncos. Denver got it back with a five-play, 63-yard drive in the second quarter that ended with Nix finding Troy Franklin across the middle for a 7-yard touchdown -- the offense's only end zone visit the entire game. Payton finally found a rhythm running the football in the third quarter -- the Broncos ran the ball six times in the second half and then seven times on their second drive of the quarter alone — but then went away from it on third-and-1 when he dialed up a trick play. Instead of a big hit, though, Courtland Sutton wisely did not throw the ball and instead took a loss that preceded a woefully short 59-yard field goal attempt by Wil Lutz. Darren Rizzi’s special teams units, maligned much of the year and subjected early in Thursday’s game to a bout of punting yips from rookie Jeremy Crawshaw -- he hit three punts of 38 yards or less in the first half including one off his ankle — at long last made a game-altering play to the positive late in the third quarter when safety JL Skinner blocked an AJ Cole punt with his facemask. That set the Denver offense up at the Las Vegas 12-yard line, which proved at least to be too good of field position for Nix and company to entirely squander. They went backward 2 yards over three plays, but Lutz’s 32-yard field goal delivered the Broncos to the fourth quarter with a smoke-and-mirrors 10-7 lead. No matter in the end. Payton’s team polished off its NFL-best 10th straight win at home to head into a long weekend. Long weekends after wins are great, no matter what the 60 minutes actually looked like. OpenAI Brings Sora AI Video Generation App To Android Users: What You Get

OpenAI is bringing the Sora AI video generation model in the form of an app for Android users from this week onwards. The iOS version came out last month but now people can download the AI video app from the Play Store but in select regions for now. As you might know, Sora is the AI model from OpenAI which can generate videos from text prompts or images. The feature is still locked in for the premium Plus and Pro users on the ChatGPT roster but making it available on Android suggests the free version won’t be far away. Sora AI App For Android: What It Offers Sora AI works the same way across the web and mobile version. The mobile app is comparatively crisp and simple to use. You have a Reels-like interface which lets you create videos using text prompt or by uploading images. You can even add friends in the videos and share the edited version with people to get likes and more reach. It also lets you remix the AI video in your personal way. Sora also has a feed of AI videos from other people that you can discover. See it as a Reels for AI videos. Sora AI on Android is available in these regions: India is a surprising but an understandable omission from the list as many of the users in the country have signed up for the ChatGPT Go version (or the free offer) which does not offer Sora feature. But we expect that to change in the near future as OpenAI looks to bring more users to these platforms to help them train the AI models and make them better. OpenAI is facing the heat from the Japanese anime creators who have written a letter to the AI company warning it about using their licensed content to train their AI models. We’ve seen images being generated using the Studio Ghibli and other anime style prompts, and now Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA), the body working with these creators has raised concerns about OpenAI using the content to train its AI video models for Sora as well. The creator body has mentioned in its letter that use of the licensed content was not ideal and has requested OpenAI to stop using the anime to train its Sora 2 video generation model.

Tourist safety at stake due to insufficient lifeguards

Tourist safety at stake due to insufficient lifeguards

Gopalpur: The scenic beauty of Gopalpur beach attracts tourists from across the state and even abroad who love to take a dip in the sea, but a moment’s carelessness while bathing can prove fatal, with several such incidents reported in the past. According to reports, lifeguards have saved several tourists from drowning here while bathing. Over the past 17 years, lifeguards have rescued 254 tourists from drowning, although 27 people have lost their lives during the period. Despite the high footfall, the number of lifeguards deployed along the beach remains inadequate. As a result, tourists unfamiliar with the sea’s nature often find themselves in danger. From Panthanivas point to Haripur estuary — a stretch of nearly 2km — the beach witnesses heavy tourist footfall every day, especially Sundays and holidays. Locals and visitors have alleged that the administration is not taking adequate measures to ensure tourists’ safety, as a sufficient number of lifeguards have not been deployed on the beach. Experts say that because the seabed near Gopalpur is uneven and steep, the risk of drowning remains particularly high in this area. Only five homeguards trained in Goa in 2009 as lifeguards and attached to Gopalpur police station are currently deployed on Gopalpur beach. According to sources, two lifeguards are on duty from 6am to 2pm, another two from 2pm to 10pm, and one from 10pm to 6am. Locals said ensuring tourist safety with just one or two lifeguards at a time is extremely difficult. Whenever any untoward incident occurs in the sea, local fishermen often assist the lifeguards in rescue operations. Though the beach team has basic rescue equipment such as life jackets and life buoys— mainly meant for use in rivers or ponds—it lacks specialised sea rescue gear. There are no rescue tubes or professional-grade swim jackets available, making rescue operations risky. Lifeguards have often faced life-threatening challenges while trying to save drowning tourists. Locals have urged the administration to deploy more trained lifeguards and provide adequate sea-specific rescue equipment to ensure visitor safety. Meanwhile, after the gangrape incident involving a college student on the beach June 15, police have deployed a patrolling vehicle to strengthen beach surveillance.

Charity boss warns Scotland's children are vulnerable as online abuse cases soar

A charity boss yesterday warned that Scotland's children are vulnerable to sexual abuse on a scale "never seen before." Children First Chief Executive Mary Glasgow was responding to shock new police figures which showed that the number of online child abuse cases has more than doubled in the last year. She said that the Scottish Government needed to take urgent action and work with the tech companies to protect kids from further harm. Earlier this week Police Scotland Chief Constable Jo Farrell said the national force received 1,500 reports of online child abuse in 2024-25 compared to 700 in the previous 12 months. Ms Farrell was making the case to Holyrood's Criminal Justice Committee for increased funding in next year's budget to tackle the abuse and other growing crimes Ms Glasgow said:“The warning from the Chief Constable that the number of online child abuse reports to the police has more than doubled in a year must be the wake up call that Scotland needs. "We are sleepwalking into the digital destruction of childhood. Every child in Scotland is vulnerable to exploitation , violence and sexual abuse on a scale that has never been seen before. "The Scottish Government must act now and bring together a new coalition of children’s services, education, child protection, health, justice, the third sector and the tech companies that will fight to protect children and preserve childhood in this digital age.” In her report to Holyrood on Wednesday Ms Farrell said crime generally was becoming more complex, more digital, and more likely to exploit vulnerable victims like children She said each online child abuse report triggered safeguarding work and, where necessary, a criminal investigation. Ms Farrell added:"There is a considerable amount of work goes into identifying where the risk is, who the risks are against, how we safeguard those children, what the investigation then looks like, and then obviously moving into the criminal justice system. "Last year we received just in excess of 700 notifications in relation to suspicions, information, intelligence around online harm relating to children. In one year that has increased to nearly 1,500." Ms Farrell said the force is monitoring 90 serious and organised crime groups, involving 1,000 people in Scotland , including children. She also told MSP's that Scottish crooks are also increasingly international and increasingly involving children. Ms Farrell added:"I want to strengthen our response to digitally enabled and globally connected crime to target sex offenders, organised criminals, and extremists who are radicalising, recruiting, exploiting and abusing our children and bringing illegal drugs and violence to the streets of Scotland." Earlier this week the Daily Record revealed the number of Scots children accused of attempted murder had trebled, deepening concerns about crime gangs exploiting vulnerable youngsters. Almost a quarter of attempted murders between April and June involved an accused under 18, with 17 cases involving 20 children, compared to five cases in the same period in 2024. Yesterday at First Ministers Questions John Swinney said there had to be more regulation of social media companies to prevent online child sex abuse. Swinney also said he was prepared to work with the UK Government, who have responsibility for the communications industry, on tougher action against the child abusers. Mr Swinney added:"I acknowledge the seriousness of the comments made by the Chief Constable. "We will do everything in our powers to address this situation. We will take all the actions we can. "I will be the most trenchant supporter of the toughest measures that the United Kingdom Government will put in place to regulate these individuals and organisations "We will be prepared to work with the UK Government to maximise the effectiveness of those measures. "There is a lawlessness out there online, it is damaging our children and it has got to be arrested."

Drag queen nursery teacher snared by paedo hunters after kids shared shocking messages

A drag queen nursery teacher has been charged over "indecent" online messages after kids reported him to paedophile hunters . The man, who we cannot name for legal reasons, was arrested after police were called to the Paisley area on Thursday, October 30. The 32-year-old, who has been working at a nursery in the town, has also been known to perform on the adult entertainment circuit. The Record understands that the charges are not relating to children that were in his care. He has since been sacked from his teaching role. Jo Drennan, 37, runs the Fighting Justice Against Predators organisation. She said the group were at a separate protest in the Johnstone area when they were approached by a number of children on Wednesday October 30. Speaking to the Record, Jo said: "Our group were out at a protest when some wee boys came up to us. They said they were getting groomed online. "All the kids knows us in Renfrewshire. They know we are there to keep them safe and they trust us. "One of the wee boys then sent us quite a lot of stuff. I immediately became aware that this man was a nursery teacher and the things that I was seeing were absolutely horrific. "I phoned the police and the nursery and then he was arrested." The man was charged in connection with indecent online communications before he was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date. Drennan reports that the allegations against the man relating to children under 15 but that none of the incidents involve children that were in the care of the nursery. She added: "This is still a major safeguarding concern and it's very alarming that this man was working with young children. "If I was a parent of a child at that nursery, I would be going off my head." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with indecent online communications after officers were called to the Paisley area on Thursday, 30 October, 2025. He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.” Management at the nursery confirmed to the Record that the man's employment has now been terminated. They declined to comment any further.

Axe maniac threatened to kill mum and child at GP surgery

A patient who threatened to kill a mother and child at a GP surgery claimed he had been driven to the brink by his chronic insomnia. Steven Welsh, 52, also blamed his lack of sleep for staging a stand-off with police who turned up at his home and found him with an axe. Perth Sheriff Court was told that Welsh had visited the doctor after returning from a summer holiday in Spain with an illness. Solicitor Finlay Crowe, defending, told the court : "He has for some time suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and insomnia. Upon returning from a holiday in Spain this year, he had a bug which caused him to go to the GP. He was given anti-biotics and sleeping medication to deal with his insomnia. "He misplaced these and that led him to go a number of weeks without them and for his insomnia to worsen. He experienced blackouts and was scared to leave the house to get further medication. He eventually did when the symptoms got so bad and the offence was committed when he went back to the surgery. He accepts what he said. "He is deeply remorseful for saying it and for the distress caused. He returned home and met police officers at his door. He previously had bad experiences with police officers so the situation was fragile. It made him apprehensive to come out, albeit he eventually did. He is currently on slow-releasing medication. He enjoys fairly good sleep most nights and he's in a much better place now." Welsh admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive way by making death threats at Taymount Surgery and having an axe in his possession as he shouted and swore at police at his Perth home on June 26. Jobless Welsh made the death threats during a conversation with his GP and when he was quizzed about the remark he replied: "I said what I said." When the female GP said she would have to report the comments to police , Welsh replied: "Do whatever the f*** you want." Fiscal depute Laurelle Johnstone said: "Owing to the accused’s comments made at the GP surgery, there was an urgency to trace him to check on his welfare and prevent him from carrying out the threats." Officers found his front door unlocked and spotted a log-splitting axe in his hallway. Police left, but came back about 40 minutes later to seize the axe. Welsh refused them entry and officers continued to negotiate with him through the door and an open window. When one officer attempted to step closer, Welsh shouted: "don't open the f*****g door." He placed both hands on the axe and held it by his side. The constable drew his Taser and Welsh put the tool down. Welsh walked over to the officer and said: "I don't give a f*** if you've got a Taser. Hit me in the face, I don't give a f***." More officers were called to the scene as negotiations continued, and they eventually stormed into his home. "Police officers in the hallway drew their Tasers and red-dotted the accused," Ms Johnstone told the court. "The accused then threw the axe to the floor, put up his hands and complied with instructions." Sheriff Jennifer Bain KC imposed 200 hours unpaid work and placed Welsh under social work supervision for 15 months.

Scottish Lily Allen fans should know these things before buying Glasgow gig tickets today

It's been a fabulous time for Lily Allen fans thanks to the release of a powerful new album that has everyone talking. To make things even better, she's quickly followed this by announcing a new tour and will be performing right here in Scotland. Last week, the Smile singer confirmed she would be bringing her new album on tour next March. Titled Lily Allen Performs West End Girl, she announced 13 UK dates with things kicking things off in Glasgow, her first Scotland performance since 2019. Her fifth studio album, which came out on October 24, has been a viral hit, with songs discussing the breakdown of her marriage to actor and Stranger Things star David Harbour. Notable hits include the self titled West End Girl, 4chan Stan and the infamous Madeline that makes heavy reference to a woman Harbour allegedly had an affair with . The show will take place in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, where the singer will perform her entire new album, with all songs sung in the order of her record. According to its site, she has personally chosen this venue, likely for a more intimate experience. But with great popularity comes greater demand, and it seems fans have already been having trouble nabbing tickets before they even go on general sale on Friday (November 7) along with all other listed dates. Fans were left "devastated" on Wednesday (November 5), when a pre-sale specially advertised by Allen reportedly ended in many missing out on tickets . More Scottish fans were left further dismayed on Thursday (November 6), when a pre-sale through Gigs in Scotland ended in the same result for some. One fan took to X to share their feelings, saying: "Lily Allen Glasgow pre-sale was absolutely shocking." So it seems that there has been drama before tickets go live later today, suggesting this won't be your usual gig ticket experience (or maybe it will). As such, anyone trying to get a ticket for the first time (or trying with all their strength a third go) should know some things that could make purchasing easier, coming from someone who tried (and failed) to get tickets through Gig's in Scotland's pre-sale. While I came out of the time consuming process ticketless, I noticed some important factors that I felt (or hoped) would have helped me actually get my hands on tickets. And I'm going to share them. It should be known that trying to buy tickets was a stressful process for me personally and my experience may be different to other Lily fans. One of the most important things to remember for Lily's Glasgow gig is that tickets will be going live on multiple sites. As well as the classic Ticketmaster , there is also an option to buy directly from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall page via Glasgow Life Tickets. Fans who choose the second option can create a Glasgow Life Tickets account, all though I'm unsure if this is required - better safe than sorry. Its main auditorium, where Allen will likely be performing, seats 2,000 people, according to its website. However, some people who tried this way were not happy, with another eager buyer who didn't get pre-sale tickets tweeting: "Why the [f***k] was it on a Glasgow life website? "That website looked like it was built on Square Space! For sure didn't have the capacity for all of those people." I can't say I had a particularly bad experience with Glasgow Life's site, of course besides not getting tickets, but it seems no different to other sites. It should be noted that I haven't gotten the chance to try for tickets through Ticketmaster and the set up may be different. I'm hoping to go to Lily Allen with two other pals, and for the brief moment I actually got into the seat selection process, I realised this made things tougher. It should be noted that the entire gig is seating only. We were unable to select any seats if it meant leaving a single empty seat in between two groups. While I can't find solid information on the concert hall's website, it's likely down not allowing for single seats to avoid isolating and putting off potential buyers. When we tried, we would be blocked from our seat selection. At this point we had accepted that we wouldn't get to sit together and would have to try again. Instead, one of us tried to book two, while the other tried to book one, and our third continued to try and find three together. But eventually, every seat was snapped up, and not by us. I think our chances would have been higher if we all decided to focus on trying to get tickets in specific areas, splitting the effort and also getting tickets in a section together. If buying directly through the concert hall website, if you click on a seat, this may not automatically put it in your basket. Rather, a separate box will appear that must be clicked to put the ticket in your basket and this can only be done one ticket at a time. So make sure you allow extra time for this. The concert hall's website states that ticket prices start from £63.10 and range to £96.70, £74.30 and £85.50, which all include booking fees and restoration funds. However, I came across a ticket for a seat on its own that cost £95 and usually wouldn't be willing to pay that high. But I think if I secured a ticket in that moment for this price I probably would've paid in a panic. But I do wish I had gotten to think about this before hand. So before you get down to it at 10am today, consider how much you're willing to spend and make the choice to either stick to that limit. Or just go whole hog and pay whatever it takes. Good luck!

People on PIP never need to tell DWP about these changes in circumstances

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) can be claimed by people over 16 and under State Pension age who need additional help with daily living tasks or getting around as a result of a long-term illness, disability or mental or physical health condition. The benefit has been replaced in Scotland by Adult Disability Payment (ADP) for new claimants and follows similar eligibility guidelines as PIP. A successful claim for PIP or ADP now people between £28.70 and £184.30 each week in additional financial support, however. Both disability payments are provided at the same rates despite the difference in name and welfare administration body to prevent a two-tier benefits system. While many claimants may be aware of the list of changes in circumstances that must be reported to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in order for them to continue receiving uninterrupted payments, there are several changes that do not need to be declared. It's also worth noting nearly 127,000 existing PIP claimants living in Scotland will still need to report certain changes to DWP until they have been transferred to the Social Security Scotland IT system - due to be completed by the end of 2025. PIP is not a means-tested benefit and can be paid whether the claimant is working or not, so there is no need to inform the DWP if you: However, guidance on the GOV.UK website states you must contact the PIP enquiry line if: The GOV.UK website goes on to warn: “You could be taken to court or have to pay a penalty if you give wrong information or do not report a change in your circumstances.” So, if you have recently moved home or switched to a new doctor, don't put off reporting the change any longer - especially if you are on PIP living in Scotland as Social Security Scotland will use the information the DWP holds on you when you are transferred over the new devolved benefits system. Before making the call you will need your National Insurance number , bank account details and GP name and address in order for the DWP to verify your identity.
