Job DescriptionAccount Manager Job PurposeResponsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts or groups of accounts. Ensures order and revenue growth to customer accounts by analyzing and meeting customer needs and developing sales plans. Globally responsible for the customer relationship and works with all Program Managers assigned to the customer account. Directs account teams to optimize the relationship focusing on sales strategy, sales support, customer service, technology development, and on-going technical and post-sales support. Enforces all aspects of the contract, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions. Identifies whether changes are needed to the terms and conditions of the contract. Documents and discusses contract changes with the customer. Develops competitive pricing models and negotiates price changes with the customer. Analyzes customer accounts and ensures they remain viable to Sanmina. Ensures existing accounts continue to be profitable and generate revenue. Acts as a resource to Program Managers for intercompany orders.Specific Duties And ResponsibilitiesWorks on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.Has the authority to make responsible decisions comparable to scope of position.Services/supports existing business and identifies strategically important opportunities for SANM to grow.Focuses on increasing revenues, customer satisfaction and profit margins.Compiles customer and account manager information and supplies monthly forecasts as well as other required information.Assist Global Sales account team in developing account budgets.Enforces all aspects of the contract ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions. Negotiates price changes with the customer. Supports quarterly business review presentations, action registers and reviews quarterly product price files.Supports EMS sales and vertically integrated component level sales (PCB, enclosures, cables, optical, and memory) in a team environment.Knowledge and SkillsTypical Education And ExperienceGenerally requires a University degree in a relevant field.Engineering, operations or program management experience is a significant asset.
