Croom Concrete is committed to innovation and excellence in meeting the diverse needs of our clients.Role DescriptionWe are seeking an Accounts Technician to support the Finance Department in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across supplier, customer, and project accounts while contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.This is a full-time, permanent role offering exposure to a busy manufacturing environment and the opportunity to work across all core finance functions.What We Offer· Competitive salary based on experience· Permanent contract following probation· Day-shift hours (Monday–Friday)· Supportive, team-based work culture· Opportunities for professional growth and training· Exposure to ERP and process-improvement projects within a growing companyKey Responsibilities· Process supplier invoices, customer payments, and journals accurately and on time· Reconcile bank, credit card, and control accounts monthly· Support preparation of monthly management accounts (journals, accruals, prepayments)· Maintain accurate ledgers and financial records across ERP systems· Assist with VAT, payroll, and statutory returns· Support internal and external audits with required documentation· Monitor debtors, manage payments, and maintain supplier and customer records· Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the finance functionWhat We’re Looking For· Qualified or part-qualified Accounts Technician (e.g. ATI, IATI, or equivalent)· Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role· Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills· Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems· Strong communication and teamwork abilitiesNice to Have (Not Essential)· Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment· Familiarity with process improvement initiatives· Experience with payroll, VAT, Intrastat
