Accountant

A growing UK accountancy firm is seeking an Outsourcing Accountant to join its expanding remote finance team. This role is ideal for someone with solid practice experience who enjoys working across a variety of clients, with a focus on month-end reporting, financial accuracy, and improving processes rather than routine data entry.Role OverviewYou will support a portfolio of clients by ensuring their financial information is accurate, up to date and compliant. Working closely with senior team members, you’ll provide reliable month-end reporting, oversee VAT-related work, assist with year-end preparation, and contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and workflows.This position offers exposure to more advanced accounting tasks and provides a natural development path toward a more senior outsourced finance role.Key ResponsibilitiesReview bookkeeping data provided by external or internal teamsAssist with monthly reporting packs, reconciliations and analysisSupport in preparing management accounts and year-end filesHandle VAT-related work, ensuring accuracy and timely submissionHelp refine internal procedures to improve efficiency and consistencyUse cloud accounting tools to improve automation and reporting qualityWork directly on financial tasks during busy periods or client transitionsContribute to training and supporting junior or new team membersWhat You’ll GainFully remote working with flexibilityA competitive salary between £35,000–£45,000 based on experienceA clear development route toward more senior outsourcing rolesExposure to a broad range of clients and financial processesSupport with professional qualifications and ongoing learning
