Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial ControllerLocation: London, UK. Hybrid 2-3 days onsite (Paddington)Employment Type: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis across multiple UK corporate entities.This role is central to business performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close, while also supervising the local accounting function.You will work closely with the Finance Director and collaborate with stakeholders across the UK and international finance teams, ensuring high-quality reporting and financial integrity across all operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead forecast cycles including budgets, strategic plans, and high-level forecasts.Prepare budgets for labour costs, brand fees, intercompany recharges, support functions, tax, and other operational expenditure.Coordinate with international controlling teams to ensure accurate consolidated budgets.Manage month-end accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.Prepare monthly reporting packages and respond to consolidation and controlling queries.Support the Finance Director in preparing Board packs and financial reviews.Complete Office for National Statistics reporting and assist with year-end audit activities.Calculate royalty/brand fee accruals and invoices in line with licensing agreements.Manage aged debt, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile intercompany balances.Collaborate with legal teams during contract updates related to brand licensing.Ensure accurate tax calculations, timely HMRC submissions, VAT compliance, and robust accounting controls.Supervise the accounting team to ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.Experience & QualificationsQualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA?ACA).5+ years’ PQ experience in finance, including management accounting and financial analysis.Strong experience within large or complex organisations.High proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Experience with systems such as Magnitude, Altais, or OFusion is advantageous.French language ability is a plus but not essential.Please apply online for consideration.
