Assistant Accountant | Large Manufacturer | Hybrid Work | Immediate Start Sector: Manufacturing Location: Ermington / Western Sydney (Hybrid – 2 Days WFH) Employment Type: 6-Month Contract with Potential to Go Permanent Salary: $80k + Super The Company Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer with operations across Australia and New Zealand. Known for high-quality products and a strong continuous improvement culture, they support several household brands across the construction and consumer goods sectors. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team. The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support core accounting activities and play a key role in the month-end process. Responsibilities include:Assisting with month-end journals, accruals, and reconciliationsSupporting AP and AR functions and ensuring accurate transaction processingMaintaining the general ledger and completing balance sheet reconciliationsAssisting with BAS, GST, and FBT preparationSupporting budgeting, forecasting, and reportingLiaising with internal stakeholders to resolve finance queriesContributing to process improvements and ad hoc finance projectsAbout You2–4 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar roleExperience in manufacturing or a product-based environment is highly regardedCurrently studying CA/CPA or planning to commenceStrong Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems (Microsoft D365)High attention to detail, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving abilityClear communicator who enjoys working as part of a teamWhy Apply?Immediate start with a 6 month contract and strong potential to convert to permanentHybrid flexibility  2 days WFH per weekCareer development  ideal for someone progressing toward CA/CPA and wanting hands-on commercial exposureSupportive culture within a respected, growing manufacturing brand
