The Wayfair Global Selling team at Wayfair is a nimble, fast-paced, ambitious team and drives real-time, material impact on the business. For this role, we are seeking a problem-solving, entrepreneurial individual to manage the supplier acquisition and business partnership development for our Asia-based Supplier program. In this role, you’ll work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to set up and onboard suppliers onto Wayfair. You will own the overall supplier acquisition process, from identifying the lead to negotiating supplier partnership contracts. You will be working closely with senior members of the organization to influence and execute the strategy for the program overall. What You'll Do:Market and Resource Expansion: Responsible for market development in the East China/South China region, leveraging existing merchant, service provider, industrial association, and government resources to establish cooperation.Channel Ecosystem Building: Expand and maintain core channel partners such as cross-border logistics, payment, compliance, e-commerce KOLs, and training institutions, establishing deep cooperative relationships.Client and Event Management: Responsible for client development, cold calling, and maintenance; possess experience in executing large-scale exhibitions and marketing events on the ground. Execute the steps necessary to set up business development conversations with suppliers on Wayfair.Industry Collaboration and Insight: Understand the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem, explore opportunities for collaboration with the platform, and conduct market analysis.Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with suppliers (email, phone) as needed throughout the setup process. Work with cross-functional teams to drive a better supplier experience.Problem-Solving and Reporting: Problem solve challenges or trends as they arise. Report on progress of the Acquisition team, including successes and learnings.Strategy Influence: Influence the strategy and planning for the Asia-based Supplier Acquisition team. What You'll Need:Experience Background: 2+ years of regional expansion experience, possessing local resources in East China/South China and experience related to cross-border e-commerce.Core Competencies: Excellent communication skills, logical analysis, and client development and maintenance abilities.Basic Skills: Possess a certain level of English proficiency (Fluency in English both written and verbal is a plus ) and data analysis capability.Industry Preference: Strong preference for experience within an e-commerce organization.Communication Confidence: Ability to communicate and feel comfortable speaking directly with owners and executives of large companies.Execution and Proactiveness: Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Ability to "hit the ground running" - a self-starter capable of achieving specific targets.Attributes: An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset. Collaborative by nature; ability to build relationships and buy-in to drive change effectively in a positive manner.A Plus: Experience in SQL and advanced Excel capabilities is a plus, but not required.
