Permanent Job Location: French speaking AfricaTHE COMPANYEditec is a successful lottery and sports betting consultancy, supporting clients in over 26 countries across Africa and the Middle East from a network of offices throughout Europe. The company is fast growing, highly successful, has doubled in size over the last 3 years, and has plans for continued expansion. The company is globally recognized as a start-up specialist for gaming operations in emerging markets.THE ROLEThe Finance Manager will work with the Operations manager in each prospective country and with the guidance of the Financial Controllers based in London. The Finance Manager is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the operation, to include the development / execution of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results in a timely manner. This is a unique and high-profile opportunity, working for a company with a clear vision.THE CANDIDATEA Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) or QBE or Accounting degree from a reputable university. Reconciliation of profits and preparation of weekly reports to compare it the business activityProven track record of managing a finance function in a fast paced and complex environment.Ideally with some experience of managing a small team.In charge of profit collections on a daily basis, and so the necessary reporting to other department and be able to create your own collection system for an efficiency and effective resultsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in FrenchSound understanding of French accounting best practiceStrong control to prevent fraud, errors and loss of company's assets and moneyAdvanced expertise with Tally, or Sage Accounting Software (incl. Data-Import), or other relevant accounting softwareAt least 3 to 5 years' staff management experience, ideally leading a Finance team within a fast paced and complex business environmentExperience in emerging market environmentsExpert Excellent level in in MS Excel with hands on experience on Vlookup, Formulas, Pvot Tables, ..Good knowledge of retail or gaming industryExperience in a service / people orientated environment would be particularly advantageousRequirements:Leading the Finance DepartmentWorking in partnership with the CEO, Group CFO and Controllers in London, to generate financial plans, budget, to develop and implement long term business / funding strategy and cash-flow managementParticipate in key decisions as a member of senior operation management teamAssist in formulating the operations future direction and support tactical initiativesManage the accounting, legal, tax, and treasury departments as requiredWorking with the Controller to implement financial management and month ending process.Partnering with the Controller to develop and lead the company's approach to risk, and fulfil any regulatory requirements and further evolve the financial policies and processesPreparation and overseeing reconciliation of daily cash transfers and finance reportsOversee the company's transaction processing systems and ensure transparency of accountsUnderstand and mitigate key elements of the operations risk profileConstruct and monitor reliable control systemsEnsure the operation complies with all legal and regulatory requirementsEnsure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors, gaming board and government agenciesMaintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendationsMaintain banking relationships and accountsRegular field visits to ensure investment has been utilised as intendedPreparation of year-end accounts, and managing the annual audit and filing of statutory accounts with authorities.
