AI Technical Project Manager

They are moving beyond traditional software to build an AI-First engineering culture.To achieve this, they have partnered with XGENIA to push their internal AI capabilities to the next level. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to organise, lead, and accelerate the delivery of this advanced AI and Research team.Note: This is a confidential search. The hiring company name will be disclosed to qualified candidates during the interview process.The RoleYou will serve as the "Bridge between Science and Product." You are not just managing tickets; you are managing the lifecycle of complex AI research. Your goal is to take the work of a very capable AI research team—often experimental and non-linear—and channel it into a structured roadmap that delivers tangible value to the business.Key ResponsibilitiesOrchestrate the AI/Research Team: Manage the day-to-day execution of a high-performing team of AI researchers and engineers. Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, and removing technical blockers.R&D to Production: Bridge the gap between experimental research and production-grade software. Ensure that models are not just "academically interesting" but are robust, scalable, and ready for the events platform.Partner Collaboration: Act as the primary operational liaison with XGENIA, ensuring our strategic partnership goals are met and technical knowledge is effectively transferred to the internal team.Scope & Risk Management: AI research involves uncertainty. You will proactively manage timelines, call out risks early (e.g., data sufficiency, model convergence), and adjust expectations with business stakeholders.Translation: Translate complex technical breakthroughs from the research team into clear updates for non-technical leadership.The Ideal CandidateBackground: 3-5 years in Technical Project Management, with specific experience working alongside Data Science, ML Engineering, or Research teams.Technical Fluency: You understand the Machine Learning lifecycle (Data collection -> Training -> Validation -> Deployment).
