Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE:Support ramp operations by performing aircraft reception and dispatch activities handled through the HUB, executing the necessary ground processes for aircraft turnaround, enabling connections to various delivery points in the shortest possible time, while complying with all company operational procedures.Carry out ground handling activities upon arrival and departure of assigned aircraft, including Marshalling, Pushback, and aircraft servicing.Perform duties as a verification agent during the aircraft loading and unloading process, as well as functions as a TRC (Turnaround Coordinator) and general ramp duties during aircraft loading and unloading.MAIN ACTIVITIES YOU WILL PERFORM:Responsible for ground handling activities, including aircraft Marshalling upon arrival and Pushback upon departure.Operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as tractors, drainage equipment, and vehicles in the ramp area.Prepare, clean, and organize equipment used in daily operations, specific to the type of aircraft.Prepare the parking position on the ramp for aircraft arrival, performing FOD procedures and ensuring the surface is free of oil, fuel, equipment, etc., to guarantee safe aircraft movement and proper pre-arrival preparation.Ensure appropriate signaling and aircraft servicing devices are available and in good condition.Safely guide aircraft following established procedures and signals from the operations manual, both during arrival and departure to assigned parking positions on the airport ramp.Perform duties as the lead signaler and wingtip guide, maintaining visual contact and alertness to contingencies during aircraft parking.Follow company safety procedures when approaching a newly parked aircraft to place chocks and cones.Mark the aircraft’s safety perimeter using applicable safety devices.Follow safety procedures around the aircraft and when bringing equipment close to the aircraft.Perform ground handling activities for aircraft drainage and cleaning, including preparation of GSE, PPE, catering service, among others.Carry out pre-departure ground handling activities according to the HUB/Ramp Functions and Procedures Manual.Prepare shift, safety, and equipment reports, among others.Act as a verification agent, reporting any irregularities or deviations detected during the aircraft loading and unloading process to the load supervisor (lead) and flight dispatcher. In case of transporting dangerous goods, sign and deliver the corresponding Notification to Captain (NOTOC).Comply with the cross-verification procedure at flight closure, initially with the lead assigned to the flight and subsequently with the crew, following established internal regulations and protocols.Perform TRC (Turnaround Coordinator) duties, maintaining safe processes throughout operations, recording and documenting various operation times according to DHL requirements (block times, first and last ULD boarded, etc.), and communicate them to the corresponding DHL department, along with any other assigned tasks.POSITION PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma.Valid driver’s license (minimum type C) and experience driving a car.Must have physical ability to perform heavy work.Availability to work different shifts (day and night).Previous experiencePreferably with knowledge of English.Preferably with computer skills.Communication skills.
