This role requires a skilled technologist and an inspiring mentor. The candidate will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of demystifying Artificial Intelligence for a cohort of bright, eager minds with no prior background in the field.Key Responsibilities:As the AI Fundamentals Trainer, your responsibilities will be multifaceted, demanding a blend of pedagogical expertise, technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills. You will own the entire lifecycle of the training delivery, from classroom preparation to post-course feedback.1. Masterful Curriculum Delivery and FacilitationYour primary responsibility is to bring the "AI Fundamentals & Application" curriculum to life. This is a five-day, 40-hour intensive program that requires more than just lecturing. It requires creating an engaging, interactive, and psychologically safe learning environment where beginners feel empowered to ask questions and take risks through experimentation.• Instruction modality: Instructor will lead 8 hours of instruction each day, breaking down complex AI concepts into digestible, intuitive modules. You must be a master of analogy, storytelling, and real-world examples to connect abstract theories to the learners' potential work and daily lives. Skills:1. The Foundations. What is AI? A brief history. The difference between AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Rule-based systems vs. learning systems. The Ethical Considerations and Societal Impact of AI.2. Understanding Large Language Models (LLMs). How do models like ChatGPT work (at a high, conceptual level)? What are tokens, parameters, and training data? Introduction to the concept of"Prompt Engineering."3. Practical Prompt Engineering. Deep dive into crafting effective prompts. Zero-shot, few-shotprompting. The role of context, persona, and constraints. Using ChatGPT for summarisation, translation, and analysis.4. AI for Productivity. Applying ChatGPT to common business tasks: drafting emails, generating reports, brainstorming ideas, creating presentation outlines, and even generating simple code snippets or formulas. This day is heavily focused on practical, hands-on application.5. Synthesis and the Broader AI Ecosystem. Review of key concepts. Introduction to the concept of"agents" (definition and high-level purpose only, as per course constraints). A look at the future of AI.Final Q&A and capstone exercises to solidify the three core learning outcomes.2. Expert Live Demonstrations with ChatGPTTheoretical knowledge must be paired with tangible, observable application. Your ability to conduct seamless and Insightful live demonstrations is critical to the success of the program.• Tool Mastery: You must be a power user of ChatGPT. Your demonstrations should go beyond simple questions and answers, showcasing advanced prompting techniques, iterative refinement, and creative problem-solving.• Bridging Theory and Practice: Each demonstration should be explicitly linked to a theoretical concepttaught earlier. You will narrate your thought process aloud, explaining *why* you are structuring a prompt in a certain way, helping students build their own mental models for interacting with AI.2. Demonstrated Mastery of ChatGPT as a Productivity ToolThe course could be explicitly centred on ChatGPT. Therefore, you must be more than just a casual user; you must be a power user and an evangelist for its effective and responsible use.1. Advanced Prompt Engineering: Must have extensive, hands-on experience in crafting sophisticated prompts. This includes using techniques like providing personas, setting constraints, chain-of-thought prompting, few-shot examples, and iterative refinement to elicit high-quality, reliable outputs from the model.2. Versatile Application Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate the use of ChatGPT across a widespectrum of business-relevant tasks: content creation (emails, reports, marketing copy), summarisation of long documents, data analysis (e.g., asking it to interpret trends in pasted data), brainstorming and ideation, code generation (for simple scripts or spreadsheet formulas), and learning new topics.3. Understanding of Limitations: Important to know what ChatGPT can do and knowing what it cannot. Instructor must be able to clearly articulate its limitations, including the potential for "hallucinations" (fabricating information), its knowledge cut-off date, its lack of true understanding or consciousness, and its inherent biases. Teaching students to be critical consumers of AI output is paramount.3. Proven Experience in Technical Training and Adult EducationKnowing a subject and teaching it are two different skills. We are looking for a candidate who is a proven educator, specifically in a corporate or adult learning context.1. Corporate Training Experience: The Instructor must have a track record of successfully delivering multi-day training sessions to adult learners in a professional setting. Experience in training non-technical audiences on technical subjects is a massive advantage.2. Pedagogical Skills: The Instructor should be well-versed in adult learning principles (andragogy). You understand that adults learn best by doing, by connecting learning to their own experiences, and by understanding the immediate relevance of the knowledge.3. Exceptional Communication and Presentation Skills: The Instructor must be a clear, confident, and engaging public speaker. You can command a room, hold an audience's attention for extended periods, and communicate with charisma and clarity. Your ability to simplify the complex is your most powerful tool.4. Classroom Management: The Instructor must be skilled at managing a classroom of diverse individuals, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere, and keeping the session on track while remaining flexible to the needs of the learners.Preferred additional Qualifications: PreferredKnowledge of Microsoft Copilot capabilitiesThis is a nuanced but important qualification. While the course mandate is to teach ChatGPT, our organisation, like many others, utilises Microsoft Copilot. A savvy trainer will understand this context.• Comparative Knowledge: Being able to intelligently answer questions like, "How is this different from the Copilot I have in Teams?" is crucial. You should understand the conceptual similarities (both are LLM-powered assistants) and the practical differences (e.g., integration, data sources, specific use cases).• Strategic Positioning: Awareness of Copilot allows you to position the ChatGPT training effectively. You can frame it as teaching foundational AI interaction skills that are transferable to *any* generative AI tool, including Copilot. This enhances the strategic value of the course and manages student expectations. You are teaching the "how-to-drive" skill, not just how to operate one specific car.NIIT is an equal opportunity employer.
