Artisan Fitter

Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repairsarry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems.Diagnose faults and repair equipment using approved tools and methods.Install and assemble pipes, fittings and mechanical components.Perform welding, brazing, soldering and threading as required.Test and inspect systems using pressure or hydrostatic testing.Read and work from mechanical drawings and schematics.Replace worn parts and maintain equipment cleanliness.Complete job cards and provide progress feedback.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all work complies with safety regulations and SOPs.Inspect work areas for hazards and structural risks.Maintain and store tools, materials and PPE correctly.Complete inspection registers and job documentation.Assist clients with requests and resolve technical queries.Supervise contractors or juniors when required.Follow Tsebo SHEQ procedures and uphold ethical standards.Skills and CompetenciesStrong mechanical and technical repair skills.Proficient with hand and power tools.Ability to read drawings and understand building layouts.Time management and planning ability.Customer-focused approach.Knowledge of health and safety requirements.QualificationsN3 Mechanical Engineering + completed apprenticeship.Trade Tested Fitter.At least 3 years’ experience in fitting/welding, including pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC and pipe repairs.
