The History Trust of South Australia is looking for an organised and detail-oriented People & Culture Coordinator to provide HR support across the teams.The OpportunityThe People and Culture Coordinator is accountable to the Manager, People and Culture and is responsible for supporting the delivery of Human Resource services across the History Trust of South Australia. The role contributes to a wide range of activities including recruitment and selection, induction and onboarding, employee relations, training and development coordination, and the implementation of HR policies and procedures. The position also maintains accurate employee records and HR systems to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.Key components of the role Coordinate and manage the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract preparation, employment arrangements, and offboarding, to ensure efficient, accurate, and client-focused HR service delivery Provide timely advice and information is to managers and employees on human resource management, organisational development and work health and safety issues, including interpretation of relevant employment legislation and related policies, published processes, forms and practices, while recognising and escalating complex issues. Assist with resolving payroll related issues and liaise with Shared Services SA. Assist with the effective management of WHS Management Systems, including monitoring and ensuring timely closure of corrective actions arising from hazard management programs (including site hazard registers, worksite inspections, incident reporting, internal audits, and risk assessments). Review and participate in the continual development, maintenance and review of HR administrative processes, systems and procedures to improve workforce efficiency and ensure the delivery of a quality human resource support service. Provide efficient and effective administrative system support by managing records, processing transactions and offering advice to managers and employees. Coordinate and maintain records and databases, ensuring all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible. Contribute to planning and coordination of special projects and initiatives, providing research, analysis, and operational support as required. Special ConditionsSome out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check.
