A growing company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its finance team. This leadership role will support the Controller and senior management by overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting audits, and providing insights that guide strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAPConduct financial analysis, variance reviews, and performance evaluations against budgets and forecastsOversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, inventory accounting, and general ledger activitiesEnsure timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepanciesPartner with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting and improve processesSupport external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulationsDevelop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsManage sales tax administration with third-party providersSupervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team collaborationContribute to budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial dataQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or advanced degree preferred)8+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with prior supervisory or Assistant Controller experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; manufacturing industry experience preferredProficiency with ERP/accounting systems and reporting toolsExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and solve complex problemsCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $130,000 – $155,000 plus target bonus of 15–20%Comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement savings, and paid time offProfessional development opportunities and a collaborative work environmentOccasional travel (0–10%)This is a high-visibility role for a detail-oriented finance professional ready to take ownership of accounting operations and contribute to the growth of a dynamic organization.
