Other organizations part of the Legacy Lifecare family include Deutsches Altenheim (West Roxbury), Sisters of Charity - Halifax's Elizabeth Seton Residence and Marillac Residence (Wellesley), Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Jamaica Plain), Stone Rehabilitation & Senior Living (Newton), and St. Joseph Living Center (Windham, CT). Together, these organizations own and operate nine skilled nursing facilities, five assisted living residences and two rest homes across campuses in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Additional services include home health care, hospice and palliative care, adult day health care, and charitable foundations. Legacy Lifecare continues to see significant growth with more locations being added each year.Summary of Position: The accountant assists in maintaining monthly financial statements for multiple business units in a timely and accurate manner. The accountant should continually strive, through the implementation of improved accounting and financial systems, to increase the efficiency of the finance department. The accountant also assists in preparing information for the annual audits in a manner that is both cost-effective and efficient.Location: This position can be remote, hybrid or on-site at any of our locations which includes Peabody, Chelsea, West Roxbury or SpringfieldQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other related fieldMinimum of 2 years' experience in non-profit, comparable organization, or public audit/cas accountingHealth Care or Senior Care accounting experience preferredAbility to manage multiple projects at the same time is a mustMulti-entity experience preferredAnalytical self-starter who produces quality work in a timely fashionTeam player with ability to work independentlyDetail-orientedExcellent organizational skillsRobust critical thinking skillsPrimary Functions And Essential ResponsibilitiesPrepare balance sheet and income statement account reconciliationsComplete month-end and year-end closing for multiple business unitsEnsure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and organization's policies and proceduresPrepare and analyze profit and loss statements Advise management of reasons for any unusual trends, budget variances, difficulties obtaining information or other pending issuesPrepare and distribute monthly financial statementsInteract with various levels of managementSupport annual audit fieldwork and tax return preparationPerform other accounting-related duties as directed by supervisorMaintain organization confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.Pay Range: 70K-75KBenefitsOn-site, remote, or hybrid work setting available A supportive working environment and community within modern facilities Health, dental, vision, and a company-funded life insurance policy Voluntary benefits403(b) retirement savingsPaid time offPaid holidays, including employee birthdayTuition reimbursement for further education, training, and professional developmentLegacy Lifecare is an equal opportunity employer.
