Enjoy our world-class resort's surroundings and excitement, such as 14 heated outdoor pools, 14 hot tubs, and the state-of-the-art Shipwreck Island Water Park.Job DescriptionIn your capacity as the Assistant Director of Safety & Security at our Westgate Villas Resort, you will play a central role in guiding the efforts of our dedicated team, including Safety & Security Officers, Supervisors, Managers, and Loss Prevention Specialists. Your pivotal position is instrumental in upholding the highest safety and security standards, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff members alike.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on responsibility, brings sound judgment under pressure, and is passionate about building a culture of safety across one of Westgate’s flagship resorts.You'll demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.What You'll Do as a Assistant Director of Security & Safety Assistant Director:Conduct investigations into policy violations and state laws, as directed by the Director of SecuritySupervise incident investigations and assist in HR inquiriesCoordinate claims and workers' compensation investigations with Risk ManagementReport incidents, coordinate with law enforcement, and review reportsPrepare activity reports and present security orientation for new hiresInteract with guests and team members and implement inventory controlsManage safety programs and assist with access control systemsMonitor scheduling, prepare reports, and travel when neededAuthorize supply orders and maintain professional membershipsAttend meetings and assist in disaster planning and proceduresAct as a liaison for criminal prosecutions and conduct surveysLead Safety Committee meetings and train the Incident Response TeamAssume the role of Director of Security as needed and perform other duties as assignedWhy You’ll Love It HereLead safety and security operations at one of Central Florida’s most recognized resorts.Join a supportive company culture that values accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.Enjoy comprehensive benefits, resort discounts, and career development opportunities across the Westgate network.QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
