Job Description

OverviewEnsure accurate timely processing and maintenance of salaries, records, claims and employee related documentsEnsure shop-floor engagement and proactive handling of ER, welfare, security and general administrationSupporting the Manager in ensuring compliance related to applicable labor law & statutory obligationsAssisting the Manager in maintaining harmonious relationships amongst the external stakeholdersAssisting the Manager in maintaining a positive IR environment in the companyResponsibilitiesEnsuring timely distribution of salaries, claims etc. to the plant employeesEnsuring compliance to various applicable lawsEnsuring accurate TDS is done as per statutory rulesFulfilling the approved manpower requirements of various departments regarding contract labour and operatorsto establish liaison with the Inspector of Factories, the Medical Inspector and the Certifying Surgeon of Factories concerning medical examination of employees, health and records.Formation of all committeesEnsuring documentation and record keeping as per rules and statutory complianceSupporting Manger in resolving labour issuesDriving Contract Labour Management and optimization of headcount for labour productivityDeveloping & directing employee welfare activities to build team spirit and sense of ownershipEnsuring strict adherence to statutory lawsEnsuring adequate, timely administrative/ personnel facilities are provided to the plant employeesImplementing welfare activities successfully for greater employee involvementEnsuring timely and accurate Exit ProceduresEnsuring timely and comfortable travel facilities for the plant membersEnsuring smooth functioning of communication facilities and equipment in the plantHiring of operatives/ apprentice/ trainee as per business planLiaison with all external stakeholders (Administration, Police, Medical, Panchayat Members) to ensure smooth and cordial relations.Work for smooth Wage revision with plant team and ensure disruption free plant operations throughout the year.Event Management for Employees Engagements activities throughout the year as per Engagement calendar and ensure flawless execution.Ensuring optimum utilization of DL/Manpower in various departments’ esp. production as per AOP.Face various audits at Site from HR dept like PWC Audit, Global Safety Audit, Human Rights Audit, AIB and FSSCFostering adaptive culture in the plant by leading from the front.Support Inclusion & Diversity agenda at the plant level along with the Plant HR Manager & Plant Manager.Support plant R&R agenda through robust planning and execution of newer ways of employee engagement.Learning continuously and upgrading own abilitiesQualificationsEducation: MBA/ PGDBM/ MSW (HRM) [PREFERRED - NOT MANDATORY]Has obtained a degree or diploma in labour and Social Welfare recognised by the Govt of West Bengal or has passed Labour Welfare Officer’s Training Course from the State Labour Institute of West Bengal or Regional Labour Institute.Has qualified at a viva-voce test conducted by a board constituted by the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal for the purposehas thorough knowledge of Bengali acquired through an institution which is under a Board of Secondary Education or affiliated to a university or recognized by the State Government.is not less than 21 years of ageLanguage: Bengali, Hindi, English
