About the CompanyWe are supporting a top-tier EPC contractor in hiring an Assistant Project Manager to help deliver large-scale Power Generation and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. This role assists Project Managers and Construction Managers in coordinating field activities, managing project controls, and supporting electrical and civil scopes across utility-grade job sites.About the RoleThis role assists Project Managers and Construction Managers in coordinating field activities, managing project controls, and supporting electrical and civil scopes across utility-grade job sites.ResponsibilitiesSupport daily project management functions for electrical and civil construction activities on power generation, substation, and high-voltage transmission projects.Assist with coordination of electrical subcontractors performing work such as grounding systems, control wiring, conduit installation, terminations, equipment setting, cable pulling, and commissioning support.Help track installation progress of major electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, SCADA panels, and protection & control components.Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, electrical drawings, as-built updates, and change orders.Participate in field walks to verify electrical installations align with one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and engineering specifications.Support construction scheduling and cost tracking for electrical and balance-of-plant scopes—ensuring alignment with CPM schedules, procurement timelines, and energization milestones.Assist project leadership with coordination between engineering, procurement, field supervision, and commissioning teams.Help ensure all electrical work meets safety standards, NERC requirements, and applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards where applicable).Attend daily coordination meetings and contribute to weekly progress, quantity tracking, and reporting.Qualifications2–10 years of experience supporting construction or project management.Solid understanding of electrical construction processes—reading one-lines, wiring diagrams, electrical plans, and equipment specifications.Experience working with or around high-voltage equipment (69kV–500kV), substation work, or power plant electrical systems is highly desirable. Not Required.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.Proficiency with MS Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or P6 is a plus.Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between field crews, engineers, and subcontractors.Willingness to work on active construction sites and travel as needed.
