Director, Medical Project Management (Greater Chicago)6 month initial contract with extensionHybrid schedule: Onsite Tue–Thu A leading global biopharmaceutical organization is seeking a Director, Medical Project Management to support strategic initiatives across Medical Affairs and HEOR. This is a high-visibility contract role working closely with senior medical and commercial leadership.About the RoleThe Director, Medical Project Management will drive critical strategic programs, enable cross-functional alignment, and support leadership in executing Medical Affairs and HEOR objectives. This is a global, enterprise-facing position requiring an exceptional blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and program leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic partnership to senior Medical/HEOR leadership, helping shape priorities and operational plansLead end-to-end program and project management for enterprise-level Medical Affairs and HEOR initiativesDevelop governance frameworks, milestones, success metrics, and execution roadmapsOversee planning and orchestration of leadership forums, operational reviews, offsites, and quarterly business cyclesEnsure Medical/HEOR alignment with Commercial, Medical Project Leads, and other cross-functional partnersSupport organizational enablement activities including culture initiatives, communications, and talent-related programsCraft executive-quality communications, presentations, and updatesRequired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field required (MS/MBA/PhD preferred)10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environments3–4+ years of project, program, or operational leadership within Medical Affairs, HEOR, or closely related functionsExperience working in large, global, matrixed organizationsStrong competency in strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional governanceExcellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skillsPMP or similar certification a plusWhat’s OfferedHigh-impact, leadership-exposed role supporting global medical strategyHybrid working model (Mettawa, IL – Tue–Thu onsite)Competitive contract rateOpportunity to extend beyond initial 6 months
