Job DescriptionTo support the commercial and quantity surveying team in managing project costs, measurements, and contractual documentation for utilities and infrastructure works. The Assistant QS will assist in ensuring accurate cost control, timely reporting, and compliance with the project’s contractual obligations.Responsibilities Measurement & Cost ManagementAssist in taking off quantities for utilities, roads, drainage, sewerage, TSE, irrigation, and associated infrastructure works.Support in preparing and updating the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and cost breakdowns.Maintain and update measurement sheets and cost records. Valuations & PaymentsAssist in preparing interim payment applications and verifying contractor’s progress claims.Track work progress on site and reconcile quantities with site teams.Support in certifying subcontractor payments based on actual work done. Variations & ClaimsSupport in identifying variations and preparing variation logs.Assist in gathering cost data, technical inputs, and substantiation for variations and claims.Help in preparing comparison sheets and cost impact analysis. Tendering & Procurement SupportAssist in preparing tender documents, quantity take-offs, and bid evaluations for subcontractors/suppliers.Support in reviewing commercial submissions from bidders. Contract AdministrationAssist in maintaining contract correspondence, logs, and commercial registers.Ensure documentation is in accordance with project contractual requirements.Support the QS team in preparing periodic commercial and progress reports. CoordinationCoordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams to gather updates and verify onsite progress.Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to collect cost and quantity data.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Experience:2–4 years of QS experience in utilities and infrastructure projects (roads, networks, pipelines, drainage, sewerage, etc.) preferred.UAE or GCC experience is an advantage.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of measurement and cost control for infrastructure works.Familiarity with standard methods of measurement (CESMM, POMI, etc.).Good command of MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and QS measurement software.Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
