Assistant Vice President - Finance Data Analyst

Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst with expertise in Alteryx to lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of our enterprise Alteryx platform. This role combines financial analytics, data engineering, and process automation to drive improved data accuracy, faster insight generation, and scalable analytics solutions across the organization.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience implementing Alteryx workflows, integrating financial data sources, improving reporting processes, and supporting end-users in leveraging the platform to its full capabilities.Job Responsibilities1. Alteryx Platform Implementation & ManagementLead the end-to-end implementation of the Alteryx platform, including installation, configuration, governance setup, and integration with existing systems.Develop, deploy, and maintain automated data workflows, macros, and analytic processes within Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server.Establish best practices for workflow management, documentation, version control, and data governance.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure platform stability and scalability.2. Financial Data Analytics & ReportingBuild automated data pipelines to support forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and monthly/quarterly reporting cycles.Consolidate and analyze financial datasets from multiple sourcesEnhance financial dashboards and reports by improving data quality, accuracy, and refresh efficiency.Partner with Finance teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights.3. Process Optimization & AutomationIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate manual financial processes using Alteryx.Redesign legacy data processes and convert them into scalable, reusable, and auditable workflows.Improve time-to-insight by creating self-service analytics solutions for Finance and cross-functional teams.4. Stakeholder Support & TrainingServe as the primary Alteryx subject-matter expert for Finance users.Conduct training sessions, build user guides, and promote adoption of the Alteryx platform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics needs with system capabilities.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.3+ years of experience in financial data analysis, FP&A, or data automation.Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server.Strong understanding of financial data structures and reporting processes.Proficiency in SQL, data transformation, and workflow optimization.Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
