This team plays a critical role in shaping our brand, protecting our reputation and ensuring that our narrative is effectively communicated to our stakeholders. We are currently looking for an experienced Government Affairs (GA) Lead to join our team to build our group-level GA function and to support regional coordination of GA priorities. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders such as Senior Management and other business leaders to leverage government affairs to support business goals as well as mitigate geopolitical and regulatory risks. This role will report directly to the Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. Responsibilities Support business objectives through development and implementation of a long-term group-level GA strategyDrive cross-functional / market collaboration with key internal stakeholders to ensure unified advocacy approach - create synergies, amplify CDG’s voice and ensure consistency on related policy issuesDevelop and execute high-level advocacy and reputation building by leveraging MTI, Enterprise Singapore, EDB, Embassies, Chambers of Commerce, advocacy groups, trade associations to advance commercial interest and open new doors in prioritised markets pending service launches or before/ during bidding processWorking with BUs and business leaders to identify and support government initiatives and grant opportunities. Eg enterprise development and market readiness assistance grants, job redesign support, productivity support etc Navigate complex geopolitical and regulatory landscapes through collaborating with the in-market GA personnel and 3rd party resources to identify related issues against each theme and build / upkeep a tracker to map the potential regulatory changesSupply Chain Disruption, Trade/ Geocommerce and EconomicsDigitalisation, Cybersecurity and Data PrivacyGig worker / Labour Regulation and Driver ClassificationUrban Mobility and Congestion ManagementAV transition Renewable Energy/ Energy Transition / Environmental issuesPublic transport procurementCrafting compelling narratives, policy briefs and strategic recommendations to advance ComfortDelGro’s interests for high-level external engagement that includes the involvement of Group-level key executivesAdvise and support internal stakeholders on their external engagement plans and implementationBuild internal capabilities and establish a Centre of Excellence to enhance knowledge sharing and best practices across GA-adjacent functionsCoach and mentor younger members of the team Requirements Degree in political science, international relations, business or related field Over 10 - 15 years of related experience in a regional or global role with knowledge of high-level government relations, policy advocacy, policy intelligence Strong experience in identifying key policy uncertainties and develop predictive scenarios that inform decision-making and risk mitigation strategiesStrong experience in conducting structured horizon scanning and data-driven scenario planning to anticipate future policy development and their potential impact on the organisationDeep expertise in negotiations, advocacy, lobbying, and persuasive communicationIndependent, results-driven, meticulous and able to lead and deliver under tight deadlines
