This role involves financial analysis, due diligence, and the preparation of compelling investment materials, ensuring every project is a success. You will play a key role in contributing to the growth of the business by taking a lead transactional role during the bidding, financial close and valuation process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInvestment Analysis: Conduct financial modelling and industry research to support the evaluation of new Greenfield and Brownfield investment opportunities. Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing due diligence material (including technical, commercial, financial, tax, accounting, legal, ESG, pension), conducting market analysis and assessing risks. Lead due diligence workstreams in some instances. Understand and manage financial risks on the project, collaborating with commercial, financial and operational teams to deliver viable investments.Investment Committee: Contribute to the preparation of the necessary Investment Committee papers. Deal Support: Support the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders. Asset Management: Track and report the performance of existing investments, identifying key trends and potential issues. Assist portfolio companies and their management with analysis, financing and bolt-on acquisitions. Develop strong, trusted relationships with portfolio companies and their management teams. Conduct detailed financial modelling, scenario analysis and updates to valuation methodology.Client Interaction: Support senior team members in managing client relationships and responding to client enquiries.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to ensure the smooth execution of investment strategies.Coaching & Development: Provide oversight and mentorship to analysts, supporting them to produce high-standard output on a timely basis.
