Associate R&D Food Technologist

We are currently looking an Associate R&D Food Technologist to join our team! This is a contract-to-hire position offering a pay rate range of $28-32/hr depending on experience.Must be able to work onsite in North Los Angeles.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve new and existing products based on customer or internal requirements.Demonstrate creativity and innovation in formulation development.Taste and evaluate all developed products for quality and consistency.Work independently with minimal supervision to achieve project objectives.Perform product costing calculations and maintain accurate cost data.Create and maintain master formulas in company databases for future reference.Draft product specifications for supervisor review and approval.Conduct shelf-life and stability testing on finished products.Establish and manage protocols for all outgoing product samples.Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams during first-time product manufacturing runs.Coordinate with the Shipping Department to ensure proper packaging and handling of product samples.Handle all sample requests and inquiries.Maintain regular, punctual attendance.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry or a related field.Strong mathematical proficiency, including a working knowledge of algebra.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Strong sensory acuity for taste and aroma evaluation.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds.#INDBH
