Job Title: Backend EngineerAbout the RoleWe are looking for a talented and experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs that power our applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers — to deliver high-quality, performant, and secure software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.Ensure high standards of performance, quality, and responsiveness.Implement security, data protection, and compliance best practices.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production and development environments.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.Participate in code reviews, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.Solid understanding of database systems — relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).Proficient with version control systems (e.g., Git).Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for quality code.Preferred QualificationsExperience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or WebSockets.Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
