Responsible for leading a team to oversee enterprise data governance and strategy across corporate and research data and drive the use of AI solutions for automating data management and enhancing IT governance and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesData GovernanceLead the development and maintenance of A*STAR data strategies, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and complying with regulatory, legal and ethical requirements in data usage, privacy and security. Establish data ownership structures, stewardship roles, retention guidelines and accountability models.Engage key stakeholders from corporate and research entities to gather feedback on data governance, data strategies and data technologies.Collaborate with corporate and research entities, providing guidance on data related matters and the incorporation of data governance practices into day-to-day operations.Manage the investigation, resolution and reporting of data-related incidents.Data TechnologiesLead and drive the adoption of advanced data management solutions in protecting whole of A*STAR data. Lead initiatives to incorporate AI, Analytics and automation within data governance and management, and to enhance IT planning, governance & operations.Stay ahead of emerging technologies, trends and best practices to identify and adopt optimal solutions to future-proof the data ecosystem.Data ArchitectureDevelop and maintain the data architecture and standards for the whole of A*STAR, ensuring alignment with A*STARs enterprise architecture, policies and standards.Provide consultation to corporate and research entities on data-related risks and opportunities.ManagementSupervise, mentor and develop a high-performing data governance and management team.Contribute to the development of digital strategies and the conceptualisation and execution of automated initiatives for planning, processes and service excellence.Promote a data-driven culture through training and awareness programme.Key Comptencies RequirementsMinimum of 10 years experience in data management, including data governance, technologies and solutions, of which the last 5 years should be in a management position.Proven stakeholder management skill with good experience in gathering of business requirements.Experience in developing data governance framework, preferably with a public organisation. Good understand of the IM8 would be an added advantage.Demonstrate leadership and strategic thinking abilities, effective people management skill, with a track record of leading teams to drive performance and achieve results.Strong analytical skills and meticulous attitude.
