No jargon. no Run around. just clear advice you can count on.Who are we looking for?We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our team and be based at our Head Office in Alexandria. Remote work is unfortunately not available for this position. We are as dedicated and supportive to our employees as we are to our clients.What sets you apart?Either graduated or currently studying a Bachelor of Business with an Accounting Major at University or Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting & Bookkeeping at TAFE.Keen to commence a career in bookkeeping and financial administration, and eager to gain real-world experience.Proficient computer skills across multiple platforms, especially Excel.Detail-oriented with a high-quality work ethic.Demonstrable teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.Prior experience in bookkeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required, as training and mentoring will be provided.What is a typical day like in the role?Mentored by the Firm’s Directors and senior staff in bookkeeping and financial administration.Conduct period-end and period-end processing, including bank reconciliations.Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.General ledger reconciliation on a periodic basis.Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.Perform GST reconciliation and assist colleagues in the preparation of BAS returns.Eventually assist with payroll processing and further technical tasks as required.General administrative duties as needed by the Directors.We kindly ask that applications from outsourced bookkeeping providers or recruitment agencies refrain from submitting as this is an on‑site, in‑office position.
