Where possible, please provide applications before the date listed in bold above to allow time for this. ​Level of Responsibility Required: EL1 or APS 6 equivalentJob Description and Context:Security Portfolio, Infrastructure and Business Services Branch within the Diplomatic Security Division of DFAT, has a requirement for an experience Business Analyst to provide high level analytical support of the departments enhanced security systems and associated information systems used by the Department’s security functions in Australia and overseas missions.DutiesThe successful candidates will be required to undertake the following (but not limited to) tasks :Manage requirements across any Diplomatic Security projects.Liaise with, provide advice and respond appropriately to stakeholders on matters that relate to project requirements.Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with internal DFAT and external stakeholders.Prepare reports and correspondence.Contribute to development of training, help and frequently asked questions about business processes.Instigate and enable organisational change in the Division and Department for new business processes.Deliver ongoing improvements to business processes and system functionality.Develop other deliverables as required for emerging needs.Skills and Experience:The successful candidate will need to be experienced in Business Analysis and be able to demonstrate the ability to:Engage stakeholders to gather, refine and document user requirements using various techniques which include but are not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysisDefine complex business needs, serve as a thought leaderEvaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with the program to ensure delivery of solutions is consistent with the department’s capability expectationsPrepare test and validation plans and work with the program to ensure delivery of quality risk-based outcomes​
