We aim to strengthen our network, uplift our communities, and build a legacy of homegrown success stories that inspire the leaders of tomorrow.Job OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic Protein Category Senior Manager to strategically lead and optimize the protein category portfolio to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share within the HoReCa sector in Saudi Arabia.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a successful candidate, you will:Develop and implement the protein category strategy aligned with company objectives and market trends.Lead category planning, including pricing, assortment, promotions, and supplier partnerships, to drive growth.Analyze market dynamics, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.Negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and reliable product availability.Ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with Saudi food regulations and company standards.Monitor and evaluate category performance using KPIs (e.g., sales, margins, inventory turnover, customer satisfaction).Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations to deliver seamless execution of category plans.Drive innovation in the protein category, introducing new products and concepts tailored for the HoReCa market.Mentor and guide junior category team members, fostering a culture of performance and development.Prepare and present periodic reports, business reviews, and forecasts to the Head of Channel and Category Development.Manage inventory levels effectively to balance availability with working capital efficiency.Represent the company in industry events and exhibitions, strengthening brand presence and networking.Minimum RequirementsAs a successful candidate, you will have:4 – 6 years of relevant experience in category management, procurement, or commercial roles, preferably in the food/FMCG or HoReCa sector.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven leadership abilities and experience working with cross-functional teams.Working Environment At Basamh Group, we pride ourselves on attracting talented individuals by offering dynamic and rewarding professional opportunities that inspire growth and innovation.
