Our staff are part of a vibrant Christian community where collaboration, encouragement and innovation thrive. We are seeking a Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) to join our Leadership Team. The primary purpose of the CFOO is to manage the College's financial resources effectively, overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, risk management and strategic financial planning. Additionally, the CFOO will have strategic oversight across Business Operations, Enrolments, Marketing and ICT and will collaborate with the Board, Suncoast Church and INC executive from time to time, to ensure financial stability and support the College's mission and growth. About the role: Reporting directly to the Principal, the CFOO is responsible for the oversight and direction of the College's financial, operational and ICT frameworks and ensures that strategic priorities are achieved through sound governance, transparent processes and sustainable resource management. The role requires financial expertise as well as a deep understanding of the uniqueness of the education industry and will require a strong focus on long-term sustainability, operational excellence and value for the College community. Importantly, the successful candidate will assist the Principal in meeting the College's obligations under governance, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation, broadly and in terms of finance.  The CFOO duties include tracking cash flows and major investments / liabilities, financial planning, overseeing the management of income and expenses, as well as analysing the College's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions. In summary, he / she oversees the financial health and stability of the College, making critical decisions and recommendations related to finances and long-term financial viability.  Duties will include, and not limited to:Strategic financial management, budgeting and long-term planningRisk management, insurance, compliance, governance and audit processesInvestment, loan and treasury management strategiesManagement of Government recurrent and capital funding and grant application processesEnsuring proper accounting for and control over income and expenditure of the CollegeProviding strategic oversight of the Colleges ICT and Business Operations through the ICT Manager and Business Operations ManagerContributing to the planning and implementation of the College and Campus Master PlanTogether with the Business Operations Manager, overseeing risk management, workplace health and safety and compliance frameworksServing as the Executive Liaison with the College Finance Committee and Board subcommitteesParticipating in the negotiation of College Agreements by participating as an Employer RepresentativeOversight of trading operationsCompliance with all taxation responsibilitiesProviding executive leadership to the Finance Team, ICT Manager, Business Operations Manager, Enrolments Officer and the Marketing Manager  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader who thrives in a values-driven, purpose-centred environment. About you: You will be a visionary, emotionally intelligent and hands-on leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a heart for Christian education and exceptional interpersonal skills.
