The post holder will contribute to the provision of a high quality service to internal customers of the Company. The post holder’s specific responsibility will be to deliver an effective and responsive maintenance file management serviceKey ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function;Raising, printing & Closing all types of Work OrdersApproving Work Order's where necessary (where Work Requests are raised)Raising and printing picking slipsRaising Purchase Requisitions (PR's)Updating Section Statistics ReportsRunning of Section back log Work OrdersFilingAssisting the Scheduler/Planner with System QueriesIssuing and recording of documents in Technical libraryGeneral office duties. i.e. photocopying, binding documents, etcUpdate machine filesUpdating of reissuing parts in the System;Other duties as given by SupervisorQualificationsMinimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) School Certificate; andCertification in Record Management or related fieldExperienceA minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a related roleMust be computer literateExperience with the use of PRONTO will be an added advantageAbility to work under tight time restrictions and meet deadlinesIdeal candidate should have at least 2-3 years’ experience in an Administrative roleAbility to work independently and assume responsibility for managing assigned tasks and projectsCandidate must be dependable, conscientious, and self-motivatedExcellent communication and organization skillsBEHAVIOURAL TRAITSTeamworkBold initiativeThinking safelyUpholding qualityTechnical SkillDriving quantityDriving attendanceOperational RequirementsStandby work requiredOvertime when necessaryExposure to dust, heat and noisePC LiteracyAn understanding of the cultural and political environmentAn understanding of relevant legislation, policies and proceduresVisit our website and register for instant job alerts at careers.first-quantum.comFollow us for the latest news at LinkedInIf you are already a First Quantum employee and have access to the First Quantum network, log into First Quantum MINE > Careers to apply internally for this opportunity.If you are an employee without network access, contact your Site Recruiter.
