Communications Manager (Sustainability)

Meraki Talent is partnering with a financial services client that is actively looking for a Communications Manager (Sustainability) to support the ‘Head of’. This key role aligned to the organisation’s ambitious carbon policy, climate strategy and sustainability goals.This person will support in the execution of the communications strategy and deliver the core sustainability message for the organisation across a wide range of topics. A hugely visible role working with senior contacts across the business, this role would suit an experienced communications manager with a proven existing grounding in sustainability, carbon policy, climate or CSR. Responsibilities of the Communications Manager (Sustainability):Delivery of the external communications strategy across multiple channelsDevelopment of strategy aligned campaigns, content and newsMaintain the relationships with the media and industry groups,Reputational risk minimisation and management for the firm and leadership Background of the Communications Manager (Sustainability):A solid grounding in communications surrounding sustainability, climate/carbon policy or CSR focused is essential for this roleExperience working directly within financial servicesAble to manage press office queries at pace, often multiple at onceSolid relationships with the press and the journalist community, across a variety of media channelsSolid written content skills and outstanding communication skills
