We have an excellent opportunity for a Computer Systems Technician to join our State Wide ICT Services Delivery services team.Based in our Bundaberg Office, this role supports schools across the greater Bundaberg area, extending south to Gayndah, west to Eidsvold and Monto, and north to Agnes Waters.The successful candidate will service approximately thirty (30) schools and corporate sites, providing a broad range of IT support to assist both staff and students.About The DepartmentWorking for the Queensland Department of Education means joining an organisation that values its people and promotes leadership and innovation. Find out more about working with us .The RoleYou will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:Participate in and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standardsEnsure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT supportInstall and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policiesProvide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systemsAdvise, communicate, apply and monitor the implementation of departmental information standards and policiesParticipate in service level and work practice reviewsMaintain currency of technical proficiency and skillsThe Right FitSkills In The Following Areas Will Be Highly RegardedA detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 and above server operating systemsA high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switchesA good understanding of end user device and printer supportKnowledge of Windows 10 and above, iPadOS, and MacOSTravel and overnight absences from base may be required of this positionAn open drivers licence is a requirement for this position due to travel required between base location and schools on a regular basisDiploma of Information Technology (or equivalent based on ACS skills assessment)A Blue Card is required for working with childrenInterested?
