This position will also be responsible for reviewing Consultants working drawings to verify design and Company standards and according to Company banner requirements.Specific Responsibilities Provide recommendations and review assigned store design proposals with Supervisor, Planners, and other departments to respect established budgets. Prepare Preliminary and Final Store design layouts, fixture plans, construction details and all required drawings for internal review and presentation to client. Responsible for drawings accuracy of Store layouts and all prepared drawings, that they are in accordance with Company standards. Drawings to be provided in timely manner as per published schedule by monitoring progress working closely with Supervisor and Planning Provide recommended solutions and weekly project status updates to Supervisor to proactively address any issues. Analyze project requirements and prepare written request for third party consultants to conduct OBC and/or structural feasibility studies. Communicate and follow up with the suppliers of materials for the samples acquisition as required by Supervisor. Review documents prepare by third party consultant Review and coordinate Décor drawings for the projects whether it is done internally or by external consultants, including review and approval of Proofs by signage vendor for fabrication Recommend solutions and weekly project status updates to Supervisor to proactively address any issues. Ensure drawings are accurate and completed according to project schedule. Ensures designs meet Company and Banner standards and that design intent has been met. Attend Planning and Design meetings as required. Visit stores and sites if required to determine site condition, limitations, and opportunities. Manage the electronic drawing filing system for both active and archived projectsQualifications College Diploma or University studies (certificate) in Architectural Technology or Interior Designer. 5-7 years of experience creating retail / commercial design concepts Strong understanding of applicable legislation building codes and regulations. Strong knowledge of construction set of drawings and ability to design Store Layout to implement that layout into Construction drawings Ability to plan and achieve project activities and identify and prioritize urgent and critical tasks both identified by Supervisor and self. Must be highly proficient in Auto CAD. Knowledge of Revit is a plus. Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Windows PC environment, working with PDF and a basic understanding of SAP as a plus. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing Self-motivated with good organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
