Reporting to the Group Controlling Planning & Analysis Manager, this role will work closely with several Corporate Finance functions and with the Business Groups finance teams.Key Job AccountabilitiesMonthly ReportingPrepare and distribute BG templates to support month-end reporting (e.g. MMR/QBR)Prepare and post monthly consolidation and recurring/non-recurring journals including Statutory Reporting and Tax Group entriesReview unusual transactions (Step Plans) and post entries in central entitiesMonitor and review Group intercompany positions and balances. Follow up with Business Groups on any outstanding differences to ensure timely resolution. Prepare monthly analysis of FX rates impact of main foreign currenciesSupport CP&A Manager on Forecast P&L ReportingPrepare consolidated Group Significant Items/non-recurring costs/cash report and analysis. Follow up with Business Groups for additional information and analysis as needed. For the designated Business Group, set up monthly/quarterly conference calls to discuss the queries and issues arising from the reporting process and ongoing projectsEstablish a rapport with the designated Business Group Finance staff so that any queries they have will be channelled through this positionMaintain & continually improve Group reporting tools and templatesAdditional Quarter-End Reporting tasksAssist in the Statutory Reporting Quarterly process to ensure all key outputs are achieved on a timely basis by:Closely liaise with Business Groups to ensure completed data is received on timeSupport CP&A Director and Managers with analysis and support schedules for Investor Relations Team and for Group earnings release documents, including Key Focus CategoriesSupport CP&A Manager with quarter SOx control preparation, templates, processes and distributions to the Business Groups, specifically QMC (Quarterly Movement Control)Prepare quarterly Group adjustment entities Balance Sheet ReconciliationsLiaise with external auditors to resolve queries where necessaryCAPEX approvalsAssist in the Capital Expenditure Approval Vouchers (CEAV) / Capital Expenditure Review Group (CERG) process to ensure adequate supporting documentation is provided to Management in a timely manner for CAPEX approvals and assist with the preparation of presentations to the Board of DirectorsOperating PlanAssist in the Operating Plan process through the following activities:Assist in the planning and coordination of the Operating Plan PlanPrepare and assist the CP&A Managers with the Operating Plan consolidationReview content and Business Group presentationsAssist with the preparation of presentations to the Board of DirectorsPrepare ad hoc analysis for Group Management (FX impacts, Market analysis, etc.). OtherProvide ad hoc analysis of financial data as required to ManagementProvide accounting support for designated Business GroupAssist the HFM team with ad-hoc requirementsConstantly challenge existing processes and contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and plans with a view to enhancing the quality of Reporting and provide valuable analysisLead and deliver on special projects, as requiredQualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s (preferred Master’s) in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5+ years previous experience in audit, accounting or controlling a plusUS GAAP knowledge a plusQualified or part qualified accountant with an interest in obtaining full accounting accreditation qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA or CMA)About AmcorAmcor is the global leader in developing and producing responsible consumer packaging and dispensing solutions across a variety of materials for nutrition, health, beauty and wellness categories.
