Job DescriptionHill International is looking for a Construction Manager with relevant experience in oil and gas refineries.ResponsibilitiesMonitor the performance of the EPC Contractor(s) to ensure the correctness and completeness of construction works as well as compliance with the scope of work requirements.Maintain a record of the EPC Contractor(s) submittals and control the submittals/correspondence regarding Construction Works received from the EPC Contractor(s) in a timely manner.Control and manage Construction Supervisor Engineers of the Project Management Team with respect to Construction aspects.Evaluate and endorse variation orders/concession request submitted by the EPC Contractor(s) for Company's approval.Attend all meetings with EPC Contractor(s), his sub-contractors and Company's Meetings.Ensure that project scope is followed in the EPC / Execution PhaseCreate a construction estimate based on a material takeoff (MTO)Manage the construction project budgetCreate a construction project management planOverview and ensure the construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestonesManage resources such as construction materials, construction workers and equipmentAllocate and manage resource logisticsCreate status reports for project stakeholdersOversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction teamEnsure all permits, licenses are issued and meet code regulationsCoordinating work activities with EPC Contractor project / engineering / construction managers, as well as subcontractors and suppliersMonitoring and managing Contractor performance and adherence to safety regulationsMaintain health and safety standardsMonitoring project milestones and schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget constraintsEstimating costs for labour and materials needed for constructionEnsuring that all workers follow safety regulations at all timesEvaluating EPC Contractor performance and disciplining or terminating employees when necessaryEnsuring that all construction works in the project are conducted in accordance with applicable codes and regulationsOverseeing Contractors’ work on projects to ensure that it meets all relevant standardsManaging construction projects from start to finish, including planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of the projectQualificationsBachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalentDemonstrable experience in oil and gas constructionThe ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside of the organisation and across different cultures.Proven abilities in leadership, engaging, developing, and motivating teams in a challenging environmentAble to make decisions and drive decision processesThe candidate should be eligible to work in UK as wellAbout UsHill International, with more than 4,100+ professionals in over 100 offices worldwide, provides program management, project management, construction management, project management oversight, advisory, facilities management, and other consulting services to clients in a variety of market sectors.
