Consultant - Cost Controlling in large-scale Construction Project

Cost Controller in a large-scale Construction Project Overseeing cost control in a major project area, ensuring alignment with objectives, and supporting EPCM as well as contractors. It involves preparing accurate cost forecasts and reports, coordinating with finance and stakeholders, and leading monthly reviews. The position requires broad experience in cost management on large industrial projects, strong expertise in estimating and cost engineering practices, and excellent communication skills to proactively manage risks and foster collaboration. Responsibilities Manage cost control for a major project area, ensuring estimates and budgets align with objectives, while supporting EPCM contractors and resolving issues Lead monthly meetings with EPCM contractors to review cost reports, cash flows, and changes, and ensure accurate forecasting from contractors and suppliers Work with finance and stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate cost analyses and reports. Coordinate with the area manager and finance team on monthly cost reviews and reporting Assist the Project Control Lead in preparing presentations for stakeholders Monitor project progress to identify risks, opportunities, and trends for proactive management Qualifications Approx. 10 years of cost control experience on large projects, preferably with EPCM contracts Strong knowledge of project phases, cost management, estimating practices (AACE, PMI) Skills in cost engineering, planning, and value engineering analysis using cost control systems Solid understanding of cross-functional collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction, safety, finance, and quality Project and Cost Management PMI-PMP, PRINCE2, AACE CCP (Certified Cost Professional) Management Certifications (Highly Valued) Lean, Six Sigma or others Software Knowledge in ACC, Primavera P6 beneficial Proven ability in leading major estimating efforts and reviews Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills  Profile:  Degree in finance/accounting, construction management or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in large scale, fast paced construction projects Openness to new topics and challenges in technically complex situations ‘agile mindset’  Business fluent in English Structured way of working
