DecisionPoint seeks a Content Manager to coordinate enterprise-level content operations across a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role ensures content accuracy, freshness, consistency, and alignment with strategic outreach and engagement goals. The Content Manager partners closely with content strategists, writers, creative staff, technical teams, and program leaders to maintain high-quality, user-centered content across digital and print platforms.The Content Manager leads content governance processes, implements structured content practices, and maintains disciplined metadata tagging, taxonomy rules, and SEO optimization. This role is central to maintaining an organized, compliant, and mission-aligned content ecosystem.This position is fully remote. Implement and uphold content governance processes including workflows, version control, and editorial standards. Conduct content audits to evaluate accuracy, quality, consistency, and lifecycle requirements. Manage metadata tagging, taxonomy rules, structured content frameworks, and SEO optimization. Ensure all content adheres to brand voice, accessibility requirements (508/WCAG), and plain language standards. Support content planning, editorial calendars, and cross-functional coordination for campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with UX and design teams to enhance content usability and user experience. Maintain content inventories, documentation, and repositories with version accuracy and traceability. Provide content improvement recommendations based on analytics, audience insights, and best practices. Work with leadership and stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate messaging. Clearance RequirementCandidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher.Education (Required)Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.Experience (Required)Minimum 7 years of experience in content management, editorial operations, or digital communications. Experience coordinating content across multiple channels and cross-functional teams. Experience implementing content governance, metadata tagging, taxonomies, and SEO practices. Experience conducting content audits and maintaining structured content systems. Technical Knowledge (Required)Knowledge of content governance frameworks, style guides, metadata, and taxonomy discipline. Experience with content management systems and digital publishing workflows. Understanding of accessibility (508/WCAG), plain language, and structured content best practices. Knowledge of SEO strategies, keyword optimization, and content performance metrics. Technical Knowledge (Preferred)Experience in federal, DoD, or large-scale digital communications environments. Familiarity with UX writing, information architecture, or structured content models. Experience with analytics tools to evaluate content performance and user engagement. SkillsStrong writing, editing, and content organization skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams. Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and governance discipline. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and content requests in a dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve content systems and processes.
