The company has scaled quickly and ownership is now focused on professionalizing the Finance organization andensuring the proper protocols and procedures are in place.NANA Healthcare Management is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting operations across all entities to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness of financial data. The Controller will work directly with the Chief Corporate Officer and collaborate closely with leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a lean environment, is adaptable in the face of ambiguity, and brings a solution-oriented mindset to evolving business needs. The individual will lead hands-on general ledger (GL) accounting activity, work within existing systems (QuickBooks, Billing Platform, EMR System), resolve complex accounting issues, and ensure timely, accurate close processes, while providing insights that inform strategic decisions.Schedule: 8:30am-5:00pmPay: $95,000 - $115,000 annually, performance-based bonus potentialType: Full-time, in-officeKnowledge and Training:Flexible, adaptable, comfortable with diversity of approachesHigh attention to detail with a bias toward action and continuous improvementSkilled in ERP/accounting systems and advanced ExcelExcellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skillsFamiliarity with multi-entity and complex ownership structuresDeep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes / standardsSkilled in GL accountingQualifications:Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred5+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferredPrior experience in healthcare – ideally in behavioral healthAdvanced Excel proficiency required; experience with VBA or macro-enabled automation preferredJob Responsibilities:Financial Integrity, Reconciliation, and Close ManagementLead the monthly and year-end close process across all entities, ensuring that all reconciliations are accurately completedOversee reconciliation and variance resolution across the organization’s financial and operational systems, including accounting, banking, billing platforms, and EMRsMaintain structured, auditable and clear workpapersIdentify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial and operational dataSystems, Procedures, and DocumentationLearn, maintain, and accurately apply existing reconciliation and reporting tools, including macro-enabled Excel workbooks and other established templatesEvaluate and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities with a thorough understanding of existing workflows and their control structureMaintain a complete, organized audit trail for all reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments.
