Imagine tomorrow with us, where your career can grow, and you can create positive change.Mō tēnei tūranga | About the OpportunityThis is a hands-on legal role that combines technical expertise with commercial insight, primarily supporting Fonterra’s Group Functions.You’ll be responsible for: * Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of IT and commercial contracts * Providing legal advice on day-to-day matters and major business initiatives, both in New Zealand and internationally * Supporting regulatory issues and litigation * Proactively managing legal risks having regard to strategy. * Contributing to cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide initiatives * Delivering legal training to business teams and promoting legal awareness * Collaborating with the global legal team and wider business to drive strategic outcomesMōu | About YouWe’re looking for a confident legal professional who can operate independently while remaining closely aligned with business needs. You’ll be solutions-focused, commercially savvy, and able to build strong relationships across the organisation.To be successful, you’ll need: * An LLB and a current New Zealand practising certificate (or eligibility to hold one). * Strong law firm and/or in-house experience, ideally working with major international companies and complex organisations. * Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting a wide range of technology-related agreements. * Strong technical knowledge of general business law and the ability to apply that within Fonterra. * Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills. * Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess legal risk in a business context. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * High integrity and a collaborative mindset. * Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek support from senior team members.
