We provide end-to-end services including custom software development, cloud and DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, system integration, and a wide range of Outsourcing services such as Customer Support, Account Managers, and data processing.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Country Operations Manager to lead our operations in Costa Rica. This role will play a critical part in building and scaling our teams, nurturing a strong company culture, managing day-to-day local operations, and serving as the leadership team’s eyes and ears on the ground. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong people and operational management experience, capable of driving growth while ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with global standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Growth & Talent AcquisitionLead local workforce planning in partnership with HR and global leadership.Support recruitment efforts to hire high-performing talent across technical, operational, and support roles.Contribute to onboarding and retention initiatives to ensure a positive employee experience.Identify local training needs and partner with global L&D to develop employees.Culture & People LeadershipAct as a steward of company culture, ensuring a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.Provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to Costa Rica employees and team leads.Help drive employee engagement initiatives and support performance management processes.Address employee concerns, ensuring fair and compliant resolution.Operational OversightOversee local operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day execution.Monitor KPIs, workflows, and performance standards for all teams based in Costa Rica.Identify risks, operational gaps, and opportunities to enhance productivity and service quality.Serve as the first point of contact for local escalation.Office Setup & Facilities ManagementLead the search for, evaluation of, and negotiation for a permanent office space.Manage the setup of the new office, ensuring it meets operational, cultural, and compliance needs.Oversee facilities, vendors, and contractors to ensure a safe, modern, and well-functioning workplace.Local Compliance & RepresentationRepresent the company with local authorities, vendors, and strategic partners.Ensure local labour, regulatory, and operational compliance in partnership with legal and HR.Manage local contracts, budgeting, and administrative oversight.Strategic Alignment & ReportingAct as management’s eyes and ears in Costa Rica, providing regular reporting on operations, culture, performance, and local market conditions.Partner with global leadership to translate company strategy into local action.Drive continuous improvement initiatives that support scalability and operational excellence.QualificationsProven experience as a Country Manager, Operations Manager, Site Lead, or similar leadership role for an International Company.Strong understanding of Costa Rican labour law, business practices, and local market dynamics.Demonstrated experience scaling teams and building high-performance cultures.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong operational problem-solving ability and comfort working in a fast-paced, scaling environment.English fluency required; Spanish fluency essential.What We’re Looking ForA highly driven, trustworthy leader who can operate independently.Someone who thrives in an early-stage or high-growth environment.A culture champion who can build cohesion across remote and office-based teams.A strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills.
