Job DescriptionCubex Assistant (03) Vacancies Position DescriptionBulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a Cubex Assistant to join and grow our team. This role is responsible to carry out assigned Blaster tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies, Drill production holes accurately according to design patterns required for safe and efficient underground production to proceed; Optimize drill patterns and metres by communicating with surveyors, geologist and engineers, work with maintenance personnel on scheduled service days to ensure all faults and defects are highlighted and rectified Report any environmental incidents as soon as possible and assist as directed in all clean up and containment activities, respond to complex technical problems, making decisions that are guided by policiesJoin Our Exceptional Team And Embody Barrick's Core Values As You Work With Us. To perform Scaling Conducting Equipment Setup for Drilling Perform drilling both down holes, up holes, drop rise, and inverse rise Record & report drilling performance Uncouple equipment & remove from workplace Perform charging activities To take full care of the Cleaning Equipment Working at height Install Services, Air & Water, Ventilation Support Installation Conduct charging of Blast Holes Qualification Requirements Secondary School Certificate / Vocational Training/ Apprenticeship in a related field/college program in heavy equipment operation Hold a valid driver’s license Heavy Mobile equipment operation skills. Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness Valid Blasting Certificate Experience And Skills Requirements Understanding of the basic Mines Health & Safety Act Drilling machines, especially the Sandvik Long hole solo DL420- 10C and DL311-7 Must know about reading and understanding the drilling plans for implementation Knowledge of Underground Mining Practices and the efficient and safe operation of an Underground long-hole Machine. Ability to work autonomously/independently with limited supervision Ability to act and operate as part of a team and possess a “can-do” attitude that will motivate the crew to action company directives, regardless of personal opinion. Good time management skills and the ability to complete tasks in a safe, timely, and professional fashion Basic mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
